It’s marketing material for the author’s company but also has a bit of useful info

I read a few reviews before getting the audible version. I’d say the author has a large following and many have written a glowing review of this book. I think It’s a bit of hype but then you know it’s a book written by a professional marketer about a subject he has a vested interest in promoting ( namely video marketing and in case you were wondering, the author owns a video marketing company ). Aside from that, there is some useful general info. To get to the good stuff you have to get through a lot of fluff. Audible is not the best format for this book ( it’d be nice to fast forward to the next section but audible doesn’t work that way) but it gave me an overview of general marketing concepts focused on legal business and I could listen in my car. I’m going to find a more technical marketing manual that has more detail. So I’d say it’s not without value but it’s chock full of pearls like, “ you have to take big risks if you want big gains” and then stories that support the narrative ( the narrative being = hire us). Another running narrative, don’t diy, hire the expert.
