No sure if Mr. Savage thought that only liberals would read his book, but that's the impression given by his constant use of the personal pronoun “you.” Not always, but in many instances, when pointing out what he considers offensive actions of certain groups or people, he continues his assessment with “but YOU didn't know that because of,” and summarizes various reasons why the typical liberal probably wouldn't know to what he was referring. In my opinion, he would have been wiser to substitute terms less personal, that didn't seem to lash out at the very reader whose opinion he was trying to influence.
