3.0 out of 5 starsFirst page I turned to was torn
Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2019
Bible is beautiful and arrived this morning. I was so excited it got here before church. I couldn’t wait to use it. As soon as I got to church, I turned to the Scripture the Pastor was using today and lo and behold that page was torn! I was sooo disappointed. The replacement is supposed to be here on Tuesday, but a brand new bible should not have torn pages. Thus the 4-star rating. Perhaps it was a return from someone else?? I am curious about the 2 typos mentioned by another reviewer. Since I really didn’t get a chance to use this one, I’m curious where those are in the text. The tear in this one was in Ephesians chapter 6. I will update after the new one arrives. The font is larger than the regular Jeremiah study bible by 2 points, but for my eyesight it could be larger and for better reading.
Update 8/6/19:
Received the replacement today. Packaging was great and the delivery timely. I tried to see if there were any issues with this copy, though without going through each page, it’s impossible. What I found so far does not warrant another return, but I will note the 2 things I noticed :
1) a page where the print looks like the printer ran out of toner. Page “1” entitled New King James Translators’ Notes is not readable in part. Since it’s introductory material, I didn’t consider it a showstopper, but found it most disappointing;
2) there were at least six pieces of attached paper where the thumb index was cut, but the paper did not completely separate. I was able to remove them without damaging any paper.
These two issues did not warrant a downgrade in the prior 4-star rating. It’s still a beautiful bible, but they really need better quality control. Overall I would recommend this product. Still disappointed with the page I can’t read. I am posting a picture of the unreadable page. Should I find further issues as I read and use the Bible, I will update my review.

I am not adding another photo, but have found another page where the readability is an issue due to poor printer quality. This was on a page that was a side article (page 6 to be exact), so again it’s not a show stopper, but it IS very disappointing because this issue is affecting one of the nicest features of the Bible and the reason I bought it in the first place...to read Dr. Jeremiah’s notes, articles, and insights. For those of you out there familiar with Dr. Jeremiah’s ministry called Turning Point, it is of note that this version of the study bible does not come from there directly. This version has the index tabs I prefer, so I purchased from this seller for that reason. Turning Point does not directly sell a tabbed/indexed version, so the quality control issues I’m finding are not the fault of the ministry.
