Beware that this is more a history book about the early days of photography, than it is a retrospective of photography as an art form. The dimensions of the book are small, the photographs themselves are very small, and the text is very dry (think: textbook dry). I was hoping to learn more about photography as an art form. Also, "From 1839 to the Present" only goes to the 80's and 90's. Very little color, and certainly nothing digital. Finally, all the photographs come from one source: The George Eastman Museum in Rochester, NY.

Though the packaging was intact, the product had clearly been stored in not so great conditions. Given that there is a postal strike, we can't wait for a replacement. Disappointing.
