A classic that I have seen before. But this time was special since my teen-aged grand-kids had just returned from a family vacation to Hawaii. They stopped for a tour at Pearl Harbor just before heading for their return flight. Watching this movie within 36 hours of visiting the memorial was quite an eye-opener for them. And the well-written love story about which the action revolves kept my granddaughter tuned in for the entire movie.

Love this movie!!! So sad, how many people died in this tragic horrific historical event. This is American History and hopefully people don't forget it!! The love story line in it was beautiful and although may not be "real", in fact there are plenty of people who lost their husband, sons, father and that is as real as it comes. beautiful movie!

Despite Afleck's hammy and substandard performance a very engaging tail of life at the dawn of WWII. Great SFX and flying sequences, even by today's standard. The Zimmer score is also haunting. This movie should have been recognized, but was overshadowed by the events of 9/11 a month after release.

I have yet been able to view a video that I have purchased/rented...Amazon has been very good about refunding purchase price but it is very frustrating as I can view from other sources..this is another attempt and failure.. I understand this is great movie!!

My dad enjoys the heroic action that people do in World Wars and all.
