Manchester chair valet

I usually don't write a bad review. If I don't like something I ordered, I just ignore the "review" request. This time, I feel obligated to tell others what they are buying: A piece of garbage. I ordered this as a Christmas gift for my husband. He needs a place to sit while dressing because he has back problems and I thought it would be a nicer alternative to sitting on the edge of the bed. It's what I've been looking for; the picture showed a sturdy piece of furniture that would be a pretty and functional part of our bedroom.
And that's where the happy thoughts ended. I'm no stranger to putting things together. I've put together a full wall entertainment center: drawers, shelves, nooks and crannies; bedroom dressers for kids, and a computer desk in less time and aggravation than it took to put this together. There were no holes to meet some screws, or they were misaligned, pieces didn't match up when put together, the rods to hold ties were uneven: they are supposed to pull out when needed and push back in when not; one rod only goes in 1/2 way. The legs are uneven and I won't even get into the pidgin English the instructions were in.
This piece is not sturdy. If my husband sat on it I'm afraid he'd fall to the floor. The ONLY reason I haven't sent it back is because I didn't want to get angry all over again by taking it apart. So basically I bought a valet chair that is useless for anything but sit in the corner of the bedroom to hang a shirt on. Yes, the hanger is the only thing that works like it's supposed to. $168.00 down the drain. If you want a functional valet chair, this certainly is not it. I'd give it "0" stars if it were available.
