Was well done in terms of acting and feeling authentic, but didn't feel like it had much of an ending. Needs a part 2 that takes you through Ike's presidency.

My husband is the one that got this movie and he really enjoyed it. He likes to learn about history during the time of World War II. While I did not watch the entire movie, I did see parts of it and I have to say that Tom Selleck is pretty convincing at Dwight Eisenhower. In fact, I didn’t realize it was Tom Selleck initially and it is normally pretty easy to tell it’s him as he has a distinctive voice.
After my husband finished watching it, he said that it was a very good film. It really gets into the relationship between Eisenhower and Churchill. He would recommend.

I love this movie, especially because its been such a long time since I've seen Tom Selleck without that five hundred pound iconic mustache, lol. Seriously though, if you are a World War II fanatic like I am, you have to own this film. Everything is well researched without being dry. All the key players in the history of the D Day preparation are noted in this film. Just an excellent film!

Selleck has better acting chops than you might expect. Of course, it's just not the same without the mustache and Ferrari.

One of the best movies for those studiers of Eisenhower and the D-Day invasion. If you know the back story about the invasion, you will see how General Eisenhower was able to build a team out of unwilling participants, first by gaining compliance, and then by gaining their commitment in the hours prior to the invasion. GEN Eisenhower's dealings with those inside and outside the chain of command reveal a level of personal emotional intelligence so often seen in other leaders in the same positions. Good movie, will watch it again.

Very detail account of Ike. If it were not for the Generals under his command, Ike would not be a famous General.

Selleck's most underrated role. Great movie to teach/show the amazing job Ike did in managing the massive egos of some of the greatest military generals in world history and get them to devise and accomplish arguably the greatest military feat of our time.

I am currently reading about Dwight Eisenhower. What a great man Ike was. Tom Selleck done a very good job portraying General Eisenhower during this fantastic D-Day event. I read many books about people in our history. I am interested at how we make such big issues out of elementary events. Learn what Mr Eisenhower took on, and see how he maintained his composure, during the planning, and executing of D-Day! Great movie, perhaps you had to be a soldier to appreciate what this man did.
