I use this pan exclusively for cake baking and nothing else. I have other pans that I have used for other things and found that when I went to use them for baking cakes, the cakes did not come out as expected, so I decided to purchase a pan to use for ONLY cake baking. Now, my cakes are perfect. I like that it has its' own lid and I don't have to use foil or something else that can mess up the icing. I would highly recommend this pan to other bakers ~ or even the occasional baker.
