Changed bottle design - BEWARE !
February 20, 2016
I have been a user of Stanadyne for about a year now, and I like the product. I can't measure the benefit to the internal fuel system, but I do know that it added, on average, a little over 1 MPG to my fuel efficiency (and I do mostly city driving). HOWEVER... they changed the bottle design from a clear bottle, to a bottle in which you can not see the liquid level inside. What brain donor thought this was a good idea??? The bottle treats 60-gallons, so it's unlikely users are pouring in the entire bottle into their tanks. The previous design allowed users to see the liquid level in the bottle, and combined with the measuring level indicator on the bottle, users could see the relationship of liquid level to gallons. Well, the measuring indicator is still there, but users can't see the liquid level now. Perhaps this was a stroke of genius by the marketing folks, in that, users are now likely using more product to treat the same amount of fuel, thereby increasing profit margin for the company. Well if so, for me, it backfired, because I will be trying another manufacturer for my fuel treatment. If they fix the bottle issue I will likely return, but not until I see the bottle revert back to being able to view the liquid level.
Stanadyne... shame on you !
