We've been using a Melitta for our daily coffee needs for more years than I'll admit. The process is simple visceral, and more or less fool proof. The only downside is that glass breaks, and sooner or later, someone will drop the entire thing, making a replacement required. This is true for any glass container. I used to go down to the local A&P - they've long since closed, and ShopRite was carrying them up until about 6 months ago. I was very happy to find this here, and am happily making pour over / drip coffee again. One tip I've stuck with over the years: Burst the beans, then fill the cone. By this I mean fill the cone with enough water to cover the beans and let that small amount drip through. Wait a few seconds, then fill the cone with water and continue normally. This brings out a bit more flavor from the beans and makes a terrific pot of coffee.
