I have 14 Paella Pans. This is my "go-to" favorite by a long shot, bar none. 'Nuff Said?
Nice and heavy construction, and in the right hands with sufficient skills in the art of making Paella there is no better pan.
I read all the negative reviews and think you may simply want to disregard them, as they are from people who seem to have little experience with the care and maintenance of carbon steel (i.e., the rust issue), and also are using the pan incorrectly (on a small stove-top burner, i.e., the "hot spot" or center burn issue).
This is a tool, and a fine one - - there are a number of helpful on-line videos that will walk you through the process of proper seasoning of the pan, its care and maintenance, and tips on the art (and finesse) of making a proper paella.
