The liquid is a bit too sweet and syrupy for my taste. There is a local grocery which sells freshly made pickled pink ginger in its deli-to-go section and does not have that too sweet taste. That's my standard of excellence but current conditions make me hesitant to venture there so I thought I'd try this. I wish I could say I like it so much that i'll continue buying it even after Covid restrictions disappear but that's not the case.
Too bad because the ginger itself is quite tasty. I wonder what would happen if I drain it, rinse it and just keep it in water. I think I'll give that a try, with a few pieces.
