I used to really love these low-odor dry erase fine tip markers. The colors were nice and bold in the set that I had purchased from Amazon. I recently reordered them as I wanted some for the office. I recall reading a review where someone complained and showed pictures of the boldness and color of the newer markers he/she had received vs. the old ones being replaced. I figured, well, maybe that person had some really unfortunate luck. Sadly, I found out the hard way. I am actually going through the trouble of returning my recent order. The lack of color and boldness is shocking. If it weren't in a brand new package, I would say they were used. Since they are in a new package, I'd say they have modified their formula or they have had multiple bad batches over a long period of time and are still selling that inventory. The markers have good flow, but subdued colors. I thought of doing a before and after, but there's already a perfectly accurate set of images out there. I won't be getting these ever again. However, I also bought the "EXPO Magnetic Dry Erase Markers with Eraser" and was happy surprised that they were just as bold as the old markers I loved. So maybe the "new" ones aren't affected. I'm ordering another set of the others now that I'm returning these. Good luck!

I use dry-erase boards often and have been very unhappy with most pens. I have no idea why they even make those pale yellow and light pink markers and such. If you can't see the writing, they're worthless. These are very visible. Making packs of the bold colors is a GREAT idea. I've bought them before and these are great. Expo pens seem to last forever, too. This is a great product, and I'll buy it again.

I use these dry erase expo markers as they work well with my Wallpops sticker whiteboard. They erase cleanly with just a dry eraser leaving no residue marks on the board even if they're left there for days which is why I love these markers! (It probably has to do with the sticker whiteboard as well) I haven't tried other brands though, but I heard that some don't erase well.

In terms of these markers themselves, just like the other reviews, I'll say that they're not true to color (if compared to their respective caps). The difference in shades are a lot. I already own the three chisel dry erase expo markers before and the green and blue are both very true to their color. The pink chisel one however is very off from its respective cap. Therefore, when I got these expo fine markers, I was happy that the pink on that one matches the color of its cap. If the chisel pink and the fine pink are compared, the difference in shades are obviously great even though the color of their caps are the same. (It's not that my chisel one is running out of ink either as I barely use them). However as for the rest of the fine markets, all have lighter shades than expected especially the green and brown. It's more of a sea green and tan shade.

Nevertheless, I'll keep them cause I need them, but just know that the shades are not true to their color. The chisel ones I previously owned are more crisp and opaque in color except the pink I guess. These fine ones however are more translucent, showing shades similar to what a watercolor paint does.

These Expo pens are top sellers for a reason; they are good quality, last reasonably long, and make even marks without tips pilling or crumbling. The "intense colors," as these are called, are all visible, though the lighter colors are just that...light brown is not as visible or intense as black, navy, etc.. A major appeal which this set holds for us is the shape of the tips; they are thick enough to write boldly but pointed enough not to fray or bend as many of the wider tip dry erase markers do. These markers are just as we expected them to be, and for that it is a very satisfying purchase.

Worst markers I have ever purchased! The EXPO brand used to mean you were getting quality markers. Sadly, that is not the case with this purchase. Package says America's #1 but not for long if the markers are all like the set I received.
I threw them away! I opened them and put them away as soon as I received them. Pulled them out over the weekend to use for the first time and they were so light you could barely even see them on the glass board. How disappointing!
Would like to have sent them back for a refund but I no longer had the packaging and was just so mad I tossed them.
DO NOT BUY THESE MARKERS!!!

much easier to order than traipse to an office supply store. The colors are very faint and hard to read - I like intensity. The blue marker was dried out and the tip was hard as a rock. Otherwise OK, I can easily substitute purple for blue and I'll hardly know the difference.

I bought these to go with a dry erase chalkboard that I purchased at the same time. Overall I was pretty pleased with the colors in this package, except for the red. The red is a very dull looking. The pink is much darker and brighter than the red. Aside from the red color being off, the rest of the pack was nice. They worked well on my dry erase board, and erased properly.

After running out of my original Expo markers I tried two other different brands and the performance of neither of those brands could match Expo for color depth and streak free lines. In addition, the color on the cap is the color you get. In the future I will always use Expo markers as long as I use whiteboards.

Red is very dull. Disappointing since I like to use these for our family calendar and now I have dark pink and light pink (instead of red).

Love the markers, but they don't last long. The tips easily squash down.
