2.0 out of 5 starsHate to rain on the parade, but it didn't work for my son. Smell is not great either.

I ordered this with high hopes that it would finally rid my son of his cradle cap. He is currently 10.5 months old and originally had mild cradle cap around 2-3 months that cleared up on its own with regular old Johnson & Johnson. I switched from J&J to Babyganics foaming shampoo, and within 2 months the cradle cap was back. His cradle cap is not the hard yellow build up kind, it's the white flaky alligator skin looking kind, on the top of his head only. He has an average amount of hair. I tried my Babyganics, I tried going back to J&J, I even tried just scraping with a comb and using nothing but water, but nothing was clearing him up, so I decided to try this based on positive reviews.
First off, the description for this listing says foaming shampoo, but I did not get foaming shampoo, it comes out as gel. That didn't particularly bother me, but it's worth noting. The bottle is cute, the shape attracted my eye. I don't understand why so many people rave about the smell. It smells exactly like old lady perfume. Not a light fresh scent, and not natural or flowery. It literally smells like they just dumped a bottle of grandma's strong perfume in as the fragrance. Maybe that's just my opinion, but I found the scent to be both strong and off putting, especially on a little boy. With a product evoking a sense of honey and flowers, the company would be better served having a honey or flower scent instead.
None the less, wanting to give it a proper go, I lathered my son's head up every night and rinsed completely. When that did not immediately help I would try scraping with a comb and then letting the gel sit directly on the problem area without working it in to really let the moisturizers work. It did nothing. After almost an entire month of near daily use, my son's scalp is no better than it was to start off with. Therefor I can not recommend it as a cradle cap cure. It seemed to work fine as a shampoo, but I did not enjoy the scent. I'm still on a quest to clear up my son's cradle cap, and I will update if I find something that works.
