4.0 out of 5 starsCrossbody vs. Classic Messenger

I ordered both the Travelon Crossbody and the Classic Messenger. I am traveling to Europe and have been pick pocketed before so I wanted something functional, secure, and day/night appropriate. I read the reviews and did a lot of research. These two came up as the top choices.
Pros for both bags:
Fabric is easily wiped clean (inside and out)
Strap is easily adjustable, so doesn't look like it's cupping your top weirdly!
Hold more than you think (although crossbody much less than messenger)
Security features are great
Cons for this Classic Messenger:
The material while easy to clean does fall off the shoulder easily, so must wear as crossbody.
The hook on the back pocket is a little difficult to maneuver but I have found that I really don't use that pocket much.
Pros for the Classic Messenger and ultimately why I chose it:
Holds several items comfortably (I had my wallet, kindle, a book, iPhone, hand sanitizer, and other things like lip balm, etc. and there was still plenty of room on the inside of the purse.
I found I use the front pocket quite a bit for easy access to my phone, tissues, and small bills. I feel the magnetic feature as well as large flap on the pocket AND lock make it a much safer option for day to day use.
I like the mesh zip open pockets on both sides, I was able to fit a 23.7 oz. SmartWater bottle in it, which is the largest I would carry.
So I kept this Classic Messenger bag and have been using it daily, the strap is very stiff, I am assuming because of the no cut security feature. I will be taking it to Europe soon and will try to post an update about how it wears and how I feel about it after the trip. So far I think I made the right choice.
See the photos for a visual comparison which I think would have helped me choose!
