Great for moving away from non-stick coating

I have pets that are extremely sensitive to nonstick coating on pans when I'm cooking. As a result I've been replacing all of my nonstick coated cookware with silicone options such as this. I've used these several times so far and they're quite excellent. They DO stain if you're making something stain-y (like the curry-powder roasted veggies I made last week....they left their mark), but I think it's SO worth it. Just read the directions well so you know how to care for these properly (it's not difficult at all, but it might be easy to forget).

SILICONE FOR BAKING?

This came out of the oven at 375 degrees and was smoking. Not sure if unit was defective but did not perform as expected. Online reviews do not speak of this. Packaging was cute and they are aesthetically pleasing.

I already have a SilPat silicone liner, and it's simply great. I got it at a local store for $25 for one, and thought it was more than worth the cost when I saw how beautifully it baked without anything ever sticking. When I saw the MIU liners - two regular, and one small for about $20, I decided to try them. These are slightly larger, roll up for storage even better, and are at least as good as the SilPat liner I already have and love. And at (less than) half the price of the SilPat liner, I'm really glad I got them.

I read another review here, where the reviewer said that her MIU liners had discolored over time. I'll be a little disappointed if mine do that, but as long as they continue to work so well, I'll still be happy. The liners are put away in a cupboard when they're not being used, so the discoloration wouldn't be constantly "on display" in my kitchen.

Since the large ones are slightly larger than my AirBake jelly roll pan, I just turn the pan over and put them on top of the bottom, so to speak. They fit quite well on my AirBake cookie sheets, and the larger surface area is wonderful for kneading dough. As a side note, the AirBake pans still give beautifully even baking when I use a silicone liner with them. The smaller toaster oven sheet is a little too large for my toaster oven, but I can curl the edges up and make it fit well enough to be usable. It will also fit on the top of the bottom of my 9 x 11 pans turned upside down, and inside the pans if I curl the edges just a little.

Cleanup, as with the SilPat, is just a quick wipe down. You're not supposed to put these in the dishwasher, but since it would take longer to put them in the dishwasher than to just wipe them off, that really doesn't count as a "con" in my book, LOL.

I have no qualms in highly recommending these.

Forget the foil, parchment paper, and scraping the bottom of baking trays.

These liners take all your spatter, batter, and cooking matter. Some soap and warm water, dry em' off and they are ready for use again (I usually toss em' wet in the warm oven to air dry them, after use).

I have a Silpat one that I bought at a Brick and Morter retailer (WSonoma), it was getting a little old and needed a replacement. These liners worked just as well as the Silpat. The small toaster oven size one (Green) fit my tray perfectly.

The manufacturer even put measuring marks (in inches) printed on the colored border of the mats.

Just remember, don't use sharp objects, knives, pizza cutters, or similar items as they will split the material.

Honestly I seldom ever bake. But I do like to craft and this silicone set fulfills a need for neatness. I was looking for craft sheets to protect the work surfaces in my craft studio but being cheap as well as particular was a problem. I could get thin brown silicone sheets. These sheets keep work tops unstained by glues, glitters, inks and paints and remain unfazed by my heat tools. But I don't like brown. Nor did I want a thin rumply wrinkly sheet either. I wanted a white sheet - well actually I wanted pink sheet but they are no longer available. And I wanted a heavier sheet that lays flat and stays put. So I kept looking until I found the right craft sheet for me. Actually the right "set" of craft sheets for me. These are handy dandy, priced right, attractive, and nicely weighted to lay flat. Plus they come 3 to a set which pleases the cheap in me.They are white with a border of red, orange and green. The green is pretty small but still large enough to be useful. The other two are a good size. Another plus - the two large sheets have a handy 14" ruler printed on the bottom border. Another happy Amazon.com purchase!

More economical than parchment paper and so effective

If you bake lots of cookies or anything with a cookie sheet, but hate scraping off the gunk that's left behind after baking, I highly recommend this product. They are slick silicone and work well, but are so much cheaper than Silpat. I purchased a set of three and have used them literally hundreds of times to make everything from cookies to candy and roasted meats to potatoes and veggies. I also use it when I'm making pasta to keep my counter top clean and easily remove the dough from the surface. Cleanup is easy with soap, water, and a sponge.

Bottom line - I loved them so much, I bought a set as a gift for my mother-in-law!

I will start by saying that I've had no problems with these mats....nothing sticks to them and they clean up well. The reason I'm only giving 4 stars is the size. The largest ones are still smaller than all of my cookie sheets or jelly roll pans. I would like these even more if they were like an inch or two longer/wider so that they'd come closer to the edges of my pans. However, I looked pretty hard for mats that would do that (I have standard calphalon cookie sheets), and it seemed everything was either too big or too small. So I may just need to cut them a break. But this is a good product and if I couldn't find anything better sized, I would totally buy it again.

I also have the name brand of these kind of baking pan liners. This brand is far less expensive than the name brand but they seem just as good to me, and I have had these for months. I DO provide a good quality plastic knife whenever I take a pan to a potluck or church function when I use these liners. They come with a warning not to use metal utensils, and I never have. Anyway, I think these are worth every penny, actually, I think they are worth more than they cost! I use them a lot and love 'em!

WOW, WOW, WOW. I saw these at a friend's house and ordered them. I used one of them (small one) the other night when I was baking some pork chops. The chops were delicious, but as important, did not have to use spray, aluminum foil, parchment, etc. just put the pad down, put the chops on it, baked it and it was done and the dish was so so so easy to clean.. Buy them now.. I love them. I am going to get all new baking sheets as the old ones are funky from sprays.

There was a small 7 x 9 mat and 2 same sized larger mats in my delivery. They appear to be as well made as the more expensive Silpat brand. I used one to knead bread dough today ( kept flour off my counter and did not slip around, and another used on the baking sheet/ on oven stone when loaf was ready to bake. Clean up was easy with just a wipe of damp wash cloth then stored away on the baking sheet...couldn't have been easier and cooking is much more fun when you have the right tools with minimal clean up involved.
