Kayfabed and too brief
September 15, 2011
This is a book with loads of promise that fails to deliver in a big way.
I was expecting that I would be getting a book that would detail the history of the WWE Championship as well as giving us a look at the Champions of the past. This is what happens but I didn't expect it to be such a short look at some of the wrestlers!
Starting off with The Nature Boy Buddy Rogers, we get a very short look at the man with nearly no discussion about him as a wrestler, others who get short shrift are Ivan Koloff, Stan Stasiak, Superstar Billy Graham and Pedro Morales. No mention of Chris Benoit at all (admittedly this is understandable)
The book is also kayfabed to a great extent which is disappointing.
All in all, if you want a concise look at the WWE CHampionship then this is the book for you. If you want more, then you will have to hunt down some of the biographies of the stars.
