Great, effective, sturdy mixer at a reasonable price

This mixer is just perfect for our needs. The mixer came packaged in its original box, with all parts neatly arranged and all contents clearly accounted for in a list of contents. Moreover, there was a clear well-written manual and set of instructions, as well as a DVD-manual. Instructions for first-use were also mentioned clearly.

This mixer was specifically meant for use in the US (plugs into a 110V outlet).

All jars were easy to put together and the mixer overall works great! Grinding of spices, chutneys, lentils, etc. is so much quicker and easier because of this powerful mixer - much better than the typical blenders that are available in supermarkets like Target/Walmart and the likes.

It's been about a month of use with this mixer and we have experienced no issues (overheating, broken coupler, broken blade, and such) so far. Mixer appears quite sturdy and the suction cups at the bottom ensure a very strong hold on the counter - as a result the mixer doesn't vibrate or move about much even when run at the highest grind setting.

Overall, very happy with the purchase and would highly recommend the product and the seller.

Stopped Working within 5 Months. No help from Amazon or Preethi

Mixer grinder stopped working less than 5 months. Amazon did not cover the replacement or refund mentioning the 1 month window is over and asked me to contact Manufacturer. On the other hand, manufacturer asks us to get the product checked in a local store. Who would check a Preeti mixer in USA. At the end, there is no help either from Amazon or from Preethi.

What a day it is. Opened the pack and planned for preparing dosa batter. Had the ingredients ready in 3 portions to grind based on its capacity mentioned.
It worked only for the first portion and mixer died by itself. I have no doubt in clearly stating that this is a useless product and not worth to buy at any price.
Had read reviews before ordering the product, but thought to give a shot. I have to place Amazon return order on the same day. My first ever bad experience buying a product from Amazon. I am though confident that Amazon cares about customer and will help me return the product. But i would like to advise Amazon to not allow such low quality product sale in their ecommerce catalog.
Friend please be cautious if you are planning to buy this product. If you still buy, please keep in mind that any time it might break.

Terrible quality

Extremely disappointed. I expected better international standard quality. My current one back home in the same model is better. The rubber seal in the smaller medium blender isn't tight as seen in the first picture, it kept lifting off. My quantity of masala was alright as in the second picture. As expected, I knew I had to hold on to the lid during grinding (picture 3). The 4th is a video of the very annoying shrill whistle sound from the motor in addition to the loud motor sound. The blades from both blenders cannot be removed with the cheap plastic gadget provided as it's not clamping on tight to the blade, it's loose. I'm surprised they haven't improvised on the rubber seals and added clips/clamps to hold the lid in place. The bigger blender was fine as far as the fit from the rubber seal, although I still had to hold on to the lid during grinding. Thank goodness I didn't purchase two units, which I wanted to initially to give one to my son. I'm definitely returning this.

Very disappointed and waste of money.

This mixer is not at all a good product. I hardly used for 1-2 times and it was a very bad experience. If we want to grind something we need to hold the lid of the mixer with some pressure. Otherwise the lids come out while the machine is on. The lids do not have proper friction and they keep on coming out when the machine is on. This is very dangerous for someone who is operating for the first time, or if children are operating it.

2 times the stuff just came out of the lid because i was not applying proper pressure on the top of the lid. Unfortunately i am out of my return time and i cant even return this product. Do not buy this product, this is not safe/convenient/worth to use.

And recently the jar broke!.. literally the steel jar became out of shape . It didn’t fall on floor or nothing like that. I just put it in my fridge and the next day the steel became out of shape.

Stops working even after your first use!!

I would NOT recommend my own enemies to getting this product. I only used it once and it was the day I received the blender. If someone can fix the motor part of the blender so it would last longer, that will be great. The one star is for the grinding it did when I used it. It did its job perfectly by grinding the dosa batter to perfection just in 5-10 mins. I was super happy that I wanted to give it a second blend. The mixer then went to a complete stop all by itself. I wanted it to work so badly so I tried to plug it in into all the other outlets in my home. I had no success. I ended up reading some of the reviews for this product on here, and I wish I took it to consideration when I ordered it. Unfortunately no one from the Preethi company has taken any of the comments and reviews into consideration. It still continues to be shipped with a poor quality appliance. But anyone out there trying to find a good blender for indian recipes, I will NOT RECOMMEND you to spend your money and time to buying this, as you will end up repacking it and returning it.

this is not all all worth for the prize

paying this much for this product is a suicide..we bought this 1 and half yrs back , and it is not at all good.
- Within 2 months of buying this , motor coupler is very loose and it comes off easily ..so that means, in 3 mts the mixer will rotate itself without grinding.
- Don't think about using it for Iddli and Dosa...Because each time, you have to put the motor coupler back it takes a long time to get it done
- you need to hire a muscle man to put the jar in and out... it is so hard and stiff and not user friendly
we will not recommend anybody paying this ...paying this huge amount when you can buy a vitamix paying little more extra. or even for 20 dollar mixer do better than this .

this one has the power, but they need to fix the coupler and jar issues..if they can do so , they it can get a better review, i guess
if you want to buy a new coupler , it costs almost 11 dollars... (after paying 150 dollars for the mixer!!!!!)

In the instruction kit ,it was stated that, they would give extra jar and motor couplers and a jar lid.. we did not get any jar lid and motor couplers.. instead there was 4 jar couplers...

so the recommendation - --DO NOT BUY , UNLESS you have lot of money to waste

Jar seals getting destroyed within 1 year making the machine useless.

Its less than an year since i bought Preethi Mixer Grinder, and all the jars are now spraying stuff out while operating the Machine.

My wife burned herself yesterday while trying to make puree in the smallest jar. The jar was firmly locked and was even less than half filled but even she holding the jar, it yet again sprayed hot stuff in all the direction burning my wife and makin a mess in all the direction.

The rubber seal got bend yet again and let the puree come out of the jar. I dont know how the warranty works, it’s only been 10 months since I bought the Prethi, if you can please help me solve the problem would really appreciate it.

Check the picture.
I bought preethi mixer in 2007, used it for 12 years and jars gave up, I had to buy new one and rusted in 2 weeks. The quality of the product so bad. I do not recommend.

Construction of the outer body is very poor and cheap plastic material used, screws are exposed in the jars, not riveted.
Lids comes off while mixer is on, always had to place one hand on the lid. No safety mechanism, can start by accidentally by hitting the nob.
