These are anodized aluminum, but still okay

I was disappointed that these pans turned out to be anodized aluminum, rather than natural aluminum. I really prefer natural aluminum and have had bad experiences with anodized before. I have some anodized pans from Fat Daddio's and everything sticks to them no matter what.

When they arrived though I really needed 6" cakes so I decided to risk using them. I'm pleased to say that these pans, while anodized, cook evenly and the cakes released easily. I really wish they were natural aluminum, I feel like it just bakes better, but these pans are good. I don't agree with those who say they are extremely thin.

The listing for 6" pans does not include the information that they are anodized. I wish it did.

Not ideal for cakes but doesn’t burn

I was disappointed in this pan because the corners are too rounded and the sides flare out just a bit so that if you’re making a layer cake you need to true-up your sides or use a ton of frosting. If you look carefully at the photo of the cake that comes with the pan (the label) you can see that where the two layers on the photo cake meet, it flares out a bit. Extra work. Also to se rounded corners are pretty big and you work harder to get good, sharp corners. The good news is that it’s not a dark metal pan so it doesn’t burn your things faster than the centers can bake (n like the Eilton dark colored pans). I suppose it makes good brownies and stuff for family, but if you’re looking for a pan to make professional or exactly square looking goods, this isn’t it.

The sides are straight but not straight up and down.

The pans are constructed well and I thought the price was good. If you are looking for a pan with sides that are vertically straight up and down, this isn't the pan for you. That is what I was looking for, so I am a little disappointed.
