Hallelujah! Peace of mind at last.

We just received these yesterday and the Small size is perfect for our 15 year old, 17 pound male dachshund who is blind, deaf, and pretty much incontinent. We have almost lost our minds trying to find a solution to the problem. Every other diaper we have tried has fit over the back legs and the tail. Not only does this panic him but that kind of diaper is just not meant for a male dachshund. Add to this the fact that though the other styles say they will fit a 15-19" tummy, we have tried 3 brands and none of them were large enough to go around his 15 1/2" girth. Belly wraps, such as Wiki Wags, are the only way to go. These are soft and extremely easy to take on and off and the velcro tabs reattach over and over. This makes it possible to take it off of him quickly when he goes outside and quickly reapply it when he comes back in. He doesn't seem to mind it at all though he is usually quite picky about anything being "attached" to him. Although the pad in the diaper would probably absorb most accidents, he is on both Lasix and steroids and he leaves huge puddles so I reinforce them with another pad. At the moment, I am cutting up all the useless other style diapers we have bought and just using the pad parts but will change to feminine pads when we run out of these. We had an opportunity to test Wiki Wags' efficiency this evening and found that the combo of the diaper and supplemental pad absorbed all of the urine with no leaks. Can't ask for better than that.
