Top critical review
3.0 out of 5 starsNot the quality of other Shott Zwiesel glasses from same line.

I have been buying Schott Zwiesel glassware for years, starting when I noticed that Riedel glasses had noticeable ridges from the manufacturing process. The machine made glasses from Schott were much smoother and the casting marks less apparent. This latest batch of glasses are a big change from previous purchases. These glasses had heavy sharp rigdes around the bases, a solid raised ridge up the stem, and the foot of each glass is distorted in two spots opposite each other where the casting was separated. This makes an interesting visual display, but not what I was looking for in a quality wine glass. I was expecting much higher quality for something made in Germany, even at this price point for a machine made glass. Hopefully this batch just missed the quality inspection and the next glasses are better made.
