I cold brew this and then drink it with milk, baileys creamers etc. This coffee will give you a kick like a mule. I mean, you are ready to go for the day. For G-d’s sake don’t drink it in the afternoon or you will never sleep. If you are a graveyard worker, drink this stuff and you will be running a mile a minute, smiling all the time.
I need to decorate for the holidays and I’m oretty sure after two iced coffee of this, I’ll have the boxes unpacked, the house decorated and everything put away in about 5 1/2 minutes. That would include chopping down the tree, dragging it home and stringing it with blue lights.

What makes this coffee's caffeine level higher than other beans? Robusto beans. It's a blend of Arabica and Robusto. Robusto tastes awful. This is not a coffee for coffee connoisseurs. At $20 a pound for inferior beans, this company has won the lottery. I was extremely pensive about ordering, and even contacted the company asking for a free sample, something Coffee Bean Direct, happily offers. I was told they do not offer samples, so I bought a bag, assured that, if I did not like the offering, I would be refunded, which I graciously was. I have to say that, Koffee Kult DARK ROAST COFFEE BEANS, truly is worth the cost of the blend, though I don't know how happy I am about it since it's the most I've recently paid for bulk coffee.
All in all, I didn't notice any significant boost from the caffeine, or effects from it, good or bad.

Its 8/2/18 as of this review No "roasted on date" and states best if drank by 5/19. Coffee is not good for an entire year. Shelf life for coffee is about 4 to 6 weeks after being roasted for fresh coffee, and six weeks is pushing it. Taste wise, while it does have a pleasant flavor you can tell its a bit stale (my batch). I used a Technivorm Moccamaster which brings the brewing process up to 175F-185F (The proper range for brewing)

After grinding and during the brewing process, fresh coffee will release a amount of gas. This was not so much the case with this coffee which is a sign of coffee that's been laying around a while after roasting. The coffee is by far not "bad" perse and it does give you a jolt so if your main reason for getting coffee is the caffeine then its fine but for those with a more refined palate, look elsewhere unless you can get a batch within six weeks of roasting and not on amazon.

Update 8/3. I was contacted rather quickly by Death Wish coffee with an apology and there willingness to ship out a fresh bag to me. I will revisit this review after trying a fresh bag. Customer support apparently is very responsive and sensitive to customer feedback, a plus for any business model.

Received the bag sent directly from death wish coffee and noticed a significant difference in freshness and taste with the new bag. Please keep in mind there is still no roasted on date so if your going to purchase this coffee id do so via death wish directly to ensure a fresh bag is obtained. The coffee, when fresh, is much more full bodied and bold. No bitter aftertaste and has a distinct hint of chocolates. Added a star for taste. One star taken away only because of the original issue with the stale bag. Thank you to Death wish for contacting me with an apology and free bag of FRESH coffee.

I've never written a review on anything I've purchased on Amazon, but this is so deserving of my time to sit and do this. I will try not to babble on too much.
First, this is the smoothest cup of coffee I have ever had. Pot after pot - bag after bag. I waited until I had purchased several bags to test the consistency from the first bag to the last bag I've had. Side note - the bags are still coming. Thank you Amazon for 'Subscribe and Save'. 😁
I have always wanted to be able to just enjoy a cup of black coffee and go. This product is so incredibly smooth and great tasting that is exactly what I'm able to do now, enjoy it.
Another thing I'll mention that most people don't, your tummy. Most of the time when you hear about an extra potent cup of coffee, people think of their tummies. This is such a smooth blended product - there was no difference to drinking this versus an average coffee. It isn't like the harshness of drinking an energy drink.
I've been a coffee drinker since 1987 and it's nice to actually be able to enjoy a rich cup of coffee that really kicks me in gear too. It's no comparison to drinking an energy drink that makes you all jittery. It's just this nice energetic and still able to concentrate buzz. I even put this to the test with some folks in my office. They all said the same thing - it gives you that good even tone of feeling wide awake yet you're still able to do what you need to do. Whether it's running around the office or actually sitting at the computer.
I am a customer for life. You guys make the best coffee hands down. I even expanded out to enjoy some of your other flavors. But this is my favorite of all.

I’m a retired barista and have worked with many different beans for 20ish years, the last of which was at a Lavazza coffee shop. I freaking love coffee, like I’m definitely Coffee’s Biggest Fangrrrl. So of course I’ve become rather picky throughout my search for an every-day-all-time-fav. Death Wish has completely/absolutely/100% taken that title in my life. I grew up with my mom using a French press, which is also my preferred way of brewing coffee.* Every sip makes me pause, bringing me back into the moment (generally from the depths of a rabbit hole). My SUNY Albany Alumni husband, a tea snob I’d like to add, also loves this coffee. It was a pleasant surprise when the Death Wish owner had a fantastic article in the SUNY Albany Alum Newsletter regarding his company’s success. We have introduced Death Wish to several friends/family/coworkers, all of which are now hooked (one said that she is no longer able to drink regular coffee bc they all taste like poop and that we ruined her ignorance regarding coffee - BWAHAHAHAHAHA). Seriously, get it. It’s just amazing. I LOVE YOU, DEATH WISH ❤️

*I normally buy beans, which are beautiful, deep, & lovely - roasted to a perfect glossy ebony that completely lacks any hint of a burnt taste. I accidentally bought grounds last time, and thought the presence of their oils were less so than the bean, it was still the best ground coffee I’ve ever had*

Have you ever thought to yourself, "I just can't make it through the next 7days without a main-lining caffeine directly into my veins?" If so, Deathwish coffee is exactly what you'll want and need.
Do you have deadlines to meet with work or school? Are you trying to play Skyrim all the way thru in one sitting? Deathwish coffee is what you're in search of.
The aroma of the beans as they're being processed and pressed and brewed is addicting in itself. The taste is pure bliss and the charge you instantly feel, must feel like freedom. This must have what the signatories of the Declaration of Independence felt when succeeding from the British! Freedom and power and energy running straight thru their veins in pure constitutional bliss.
I highly recommend this. I give it a perfect 5/7.

I love a good strong coffee and was very excited to try this one but unfortunately it was a bust. I make my coffee using 2 scoops (4 Tbsp) with 6-8oz water. I just ground the beans and just the smell of it didn't wow me, and I'm not too picky with coffee. Just didn't smell very fresh.... The consistency of the brewed coffee also seemed very watery and very unfulfilling and again, not very fresh tasting. As far as the caffeine: did not affect me any differently than regular coffee. Perhaps I got a bad batch.

Every now and again, I splurge on expensive quality coffee like this. $20 for a relatively small bag of whole beans is bordering ridiculously expensive, so when I order them, I expect to receive a quality product. This wasn't the case with these beans, this time at least.

I've purchased deathwish's entire line, and this specific type multiple times. This was definitely the worst quality coffee I've ever received from them. It was incredibly dry and the flavor was severely lacking. The aroma was still there, but barely.

Weirdly enough, the bag was almost impossible to open by hand. It was sealed super tight, and I ended up having to cut it at the zip tie.

Very dissapointed with this coffee, and I probably won't be purchasing it again any time soon.

What a scam. This product is a definitely not going to be better than other “dark roast” blends, it’s not strongest and it’s not going to make you feel energized if you didn’t have a enough sleep. There’s no magic here. And since it’s a dark roast, it’s actually contains way less caffeine than light or medium roast blends. Don’t pay $20 for false advertisement with black scary “Warning” package. Check YouTube video reviews for a full picture. Don’t get me wrong, it’s OK plus coffee that probably has own fans but definitely not strongest, boldest or anything close to what is advertised, plus twice expensive for type of blend and quality. Note: You can’t return this one by their policy too, so take your own decision.
