Can't beat Danner when it comes to boots...DAMN, THESE ARE SUPERLIGHT!!

Received these Danner tactical boots 10Jan2020 and it goes without saying, Danner does it best when it comes to boots. "DAMN, THESE ARE SO COMFORTABLE!".
As a former US Army Infantry Officer, your feet can make you or break you, and it goes without saying, youll want to get the best boot in terms of fit, comfort and durability; of course w/consideration to AR670-1 while on REMF duty. That being said, I rate Danner at the top among tactical boot manufacturers. In terms of durability, i still have my Ft Lewis boots from OCS/IOBC back in 1997, These are still holding up (ignore the gouges in the leather and rubber) and have been abused in dirt, sand, swamps, rock, and numerous deployments. In fact, these have been re-soled twice and theyre still going strong. My two Danner sand suedes have held up equally well but these have not had long exposure to water as the Ft Lewis boots.
In terms of these Kinetic boots, they are very comfortable and i do not anticipate need for break in period. These fit like socks on my dogs. Did i mention these are super lightweight? Yes, these are like running shoes - Super feather light! Quality of construction is evident on inspection. at this juncture, my only concern is durability of the man made material components on boot, such as the non-leather parts, the Gore-Tex should hold up long term though. Said material is minimal however. Fortunately, this set of boots will not have to undergo the torturous treatment my other Danner boots have been through. Instead, they will be used for doing a lot of walking (no load), in the capacity of performing duty as a Registered Nurse Supervisor in a +- 200 Patient Psych Rehab Facility. And yes, when we are short staffed, I'll also work direct Patient care in our Medical Unit and this does requiring lots of walking if task cannot be delegated. All things considered, footwear have to be above ankles and these boots will make the cut for meeting the "Comfy" standard that i require. If a Pt take down is necessary, these boots will provide secure footing and not rip at the seems. Zipper is a convenient feature which may contribute to a weak spot but it is nice to not have to tie the laces everytime boots are dawned or removed. Time will tell if how long these boots will last. I am hoping that i can have these re-soled when ball and heel is worn down to unserviceable level...not even sure if its possible to have these-soled, as its like running shoe material. It may not even be cost effective to do so. But it is just so hard to throw out a good fitting set of boots because of tread wear. ill update post on how these Kinetic boots hold up. DAMN!! THESE ARE SOOO COMFORTABLE!.
