I find most commercial gluten-free bread dry, unpleasant tasting and not what I want nutritionally, and baking isn’t always feasible, so sandwiches and hamburgers have generally not been viable options for years. But these wraps hold up surprisingly well even to hot contents like cheeseburgers and bacon and wet ingredients such as avacados and aolis, particularly when doubled. It’s less cost-effective to use two, but by wrapping the first envelope-style and then turning the whole works over onto a second wrapper and making a second envelope out of that, I’m once again able to contain and enjoy not only Dagwood sandwiches, but tacos with everything from refried beans to shredded beef to veggies and salsa in these. I don’t think they have much flavor of their own, sweet or otherwise, and I frankly wouldn’t want them to; they’re just a nice, neutral means of conveyance for a wide variety flavorful fillings. And, no, I was in no way compensated for this review. It’s missing a star because they’re pricey and because I would only need to use one if they were just a tad thicker/stronger.
