As soon as I pulled it out of the box it was broken. It wasn't in an area that affected the use, so I decided to still use it since I had brought it for a work function and we needed to use it that day. When using it for the second time, a bit of cheese melted out of the tortilla on to the quesadilla maker and it was nearly impossible to get off. The surface is far from non stick - I had to scrape at the burnt on cheese for a good 30 minutes and still didn't get it all off. I've never been able to get the handle to latch with anything in the maker, even just a plain quesadilla with minimal cheese. And lastly, after the second use as well, the paint on the inside portion of the lid is bubbling like it got too hot and is going to melt off, so that'll be a nice surprise to a future quesadilla.
