I am 67 years old and belatedly am starting to pay more attention to my health. This little download is a true winner. I am fairly knowledgable about diet, but yet I learned a ton. I have been considering taking supplements in addition to my vitamin pill, but what? There is so much misinformation and hype out there I didn't know where to start. This book cut to the chase. I was able to select a few supplements I need with the full information I needed to select them.
This is a relatively easy to read book that explains the importance of biochemical balance in achieving optimal health. The information confirmed some things I already knew worked (but did not know why they worked) and I also learned a lot of new things that are very useful. Health in our country is declining, and for the first time in history life expectancy is beginnimg to shorten. For a person who desires to live a longer, more productive, healthier life this will be an important eye opener...provided that one puts this information to use. I highly recommend this book, and I plan on sharing this book with everybody I can.
Dr. Shawn has a great way of explaining things in a way that is understandable. He has his "technical" talk but that's for those that understand it but for the layperson, it's well organized and presented. I have had the pleasure of hearing Dr. Shawn speak and have also had the chance to communicate with him personally and he has a wealth of knowledge to share. This book is great! The concept and science behind it makes perfect sense and is easy to live by. I have seen Dr. Shawn Talbott speak several times and find him brilliant and living on the same planet as the rest of us. Dr. Talbott makes it realistic to be able to eat well and feel great. I also love "Body Confidence" by Mark MacDonald. All about blood sugar stabilization and eating several times a day vs. dieting. Works like a charm!!!
This is a book every one needs to read but for the information to be of any value the reader would have to apply it. doctors have been trying to get individuals to discipline themselves for years with very little results. However, it is an eay read and if one individual would actually apply it to their life ...WOW.
Easy to read & understand. Have now added much water to my daily intake. Added fruits, vegetables, along with MonaVie to supplement my antioxidant levels. Thanks to reading this book , I now have energy & can do so much more during my day. Bought multiple copies to share with my family & friends!
A truly excellent read for the non scientist truly interested in personal nutrition answers for their own body and for those concerned about loved ones. Dr. T addressed the biochemical aspect of truly caring for the one and only marvel of creation that we all have been given, in a very understandable delivery.
I've met Dr. Talbott personally, and he's really impressive. He has all of this amazing experience in research and publications, but he's so down to earth and friendly, happy to answer any questions and very giving to help people get healthy.
