I had a G2 750W PSU For over 5 years, it went trough many scary power outages and electricity issues that are common in a third world country (Dominican Republic).
I go back to those events and it should have died like my DAC and others appliances that didn’t survived those events that happened over the years.

My PC parts haven’t suffered damages due to electrical problems neither the PSU to the point I’m sticking to the same model but bigger since the PC’s are trending toward power hungry parts.

Hopefully this one gives me the same experience I had with the 750 G2.

The 750W G2 is in my emergency build for any event of temporary replacement parts and for any visit wanting to play videogames since it’s still working perfectly.

I had the ECO mode off since ever and did the same right away in this 1300W PSU.

3.0 out of 5 starsThis Power Supply WILL FAIL quicker than most PSUs.
Reviewed in the United States on June 6, 2022
I bought this PSU twice. The first time, it worked without a hitch for about a year, then it started doing something funny. It would refuse to turn on after shutting down the PC. I would have to unplug everything from the PC, let it sit for a while, then try to turn it back on. Sometimes it would take more than an hour. I thought this was just a weird fluke, and I already had custom cables for it, so I bought another one, this time from EVGA's website. Again, it worked for about 2.5 years, then started having the same problem, but more intermittent. I rarely shut down my PC completely, so I just decided to deal with it. However recently, the PSU started shutting my entire PC down at random times. It would shut off, and I would have to press the power button again to get it back up and running. Yesterday though, it shut down on its own and WOULD NOT turn back on. I even unplugged the PSU from my PC and used the supplied bridge to power up the PSU on its own, but it still wouldn't start. Overall, my experience with this PSU is annoying, to say the least. I rarely write Amazon reviews, but this time I was just too annoyed with the product to let it go. I've already purchased a new Corsair RMX PSU, which, frankly, I should have done after the first time this PSU failed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Build, Lots of Cables, 10yr warranty!

I had my second 1000 watt KingWin die on me in less than a year, so I abandoned the KingWin ship, and for only forty bucks more (and an extra 300 watts) this seemed like the no-brainer switch. I was EXTREMELY wary of the recall EVGA had back in October 2013, but it seems like a manufacturer with this kind of reputation and experience would know how to run a recall, and would also be d*mned sure they got it right the second time around. I know a warranty won't cover my equipment and data, but the 10 year warranty (which I'm sure I'll be using in about 8 years) from a company that probably won't be going anywhere (since they're one of the top mobo and vid cards manufacturers) clinched the deal.

The PSU comes in a custom tailored cloth bag... meant to make you think of it like jewels, I assume.

The physical unit is built solid as a rock with a nice, big, quiet fan (I definitely can't hear it over any of the other stuff in the case, especially the vid card). The exterior is covered with a sort of "hammered" finish that makes it look like a truck bed.

The *fully* modular design is AWESOME. Also, the connectors (where the cables plug into the unit) are appropriately sized, unlike the KingWin plugs which are so HUGE (to refract the ridiculously gimmicky LED's I assume) that you can't thread them through your case.

The EVGA PSU shipped with 1x24 ATX cable, 2x 4+4 pin EPS 12v CPU, 4x 6+2 pin PCI-E VGA, 2x 6+6+2 pin PCI-E VGA, (4) 3xSata, (1) 3x molex, (1) 2x molex + 4 pin floppy (?), and the power cord. There is a large nylon case to store the extra cables (I used all the SATA and molex, but even with dual vid cards and some other stuff, who could possibly use all those PCI-E cables?! --nice to have them though). They even throw in a bag of velcro ties to wrangle the cables. Very nice. If I have any complaints it's that the sata connectors are a little close together on the cable (if your sata devices aren't *right* next to each other, you'll have issues). I only have one sata connector left available, and no molex left over, so I guess it'd be nice to have a couple more sata/molex cables. [UPDATE] I actually had a full extra run of Sata (not just a single connection) that I overlooked, so there are actually 4 available sata connectors left in my machine. I recently purchased a USB 3.0 PCIe card that requires power via molex, so I guess I'll have to purchase a sata to molex adapter considering I am out of molex connectors that came with the unit.

So far so good, but I'll definitely be holding onto the box, because there's no way something like this will last 10 years, and I definitely plan on taking them up on the warranty!

FWIW, every PSU manufacturer, no matter how great, has some bad reviews. When I was researching which unit to buy, it seemed like such a crapshoot (and still does). Every single manufacturer has reviews with tales of "fried my mobo and all my hard drives!" When you're talking about something that has the power to kill thousands of dollars worth of equipment and ALL your data, a PSU is a pretty scary purchase. I personally had a bad experience with (2) KingWin, so I won't be using them any more. I can't say whether or not EVGA will prove more reliable on the whole (all of them every built), but I am certainly impressed at the onset, and the warranty at the *very least* least assures me that I won't be out the purchase price if something goes wrong.

[UPDATE] Once again I have purchased something on Amazon that dropped in price three days later (fifteen bucks). I really wish Amazon would implement a purchase price safeguard. [UPDATE] Contacted Amazon within 7 days and was refunded the difference!

So far so good, these power supplies haven’t done me wrong yet. I have more confidence in using this brand then any other. The thick cords on all of the wires make the setting up experience feel like money well spent

5.0 out of 5 stars Great PSU for high power demands

The packaging is great and was enough to let me know before I installed that i made a good purchase. Currently powering an i9, mobo, 5 pcie risers, 3x 3090s, 2x 3070s, 32 gigs of ram, and 6 fans.

Comes with a bag for all your wires, and leftovers. Makes keeping things organized during a build a little easier.

If you're mining and this meets you TDP needs... get this PSU. Probably the most dangerous place to skimp on spending, so this was well worth it.

I guess i wish it came with more 8pin->2x 6+2 cables, given that this psu is pretty much only going to be needed for minners, but that's not really a ding against the PSU itself. The cables it does come with are good too.

There are 6 VGA plugs, for the new model VGA you should use 2 or 3 separate VGA plugs.
Overall, great model.

Great Psu. No noise at all can barely tell its on. It even has an eco mode. It's keeps the psu off until it reaches I believe 55c then it powers on(I dont use that mode.). It's a great power supply. Would recommend to anyone with a power hungry system.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you need a lot of power for OCing or for multiple GPUs, this is a great choice.

I got this in 2014, and it has been a wonderful foundation for multiple builds. When I bought this power supply, I needed a lot of wattage - I had a 3930K with 2 GTX 780ti cards, and they were quite thirsty for reliable power. With several hard drives and high performance ram added in the mix, my peak draw crawled up near 900W when pushing it overclocking, and I didn't even go all that crazy with adding voltage. These days my wattage needs are much more modest - I run a 7700K with a single 2080ti, and it still has never once flinched.

The only issue I ever had with this PSU is that if you start drawing over 600-700 watts, the fan kicks on, and it's a bit loud. If you're drawing that much power, your GPU and CPU fans will probably start getting loud too, so it's not that much of a problem. On the flip side, these days with one GPU I don't use that much power anymore... I haven't noticed the PSU fan come on in years.

Again - if you need a lot of watts and you can get this for a good price, you will not regret the purchase. Don't forget to register your PSU on EVGA's website for the ten year warranty! I have dealt with EVGA customer support in the past, and they have always been helpful and easy to work with.

I waited for 20 days for this thing to get delivered and I only ordered it because of the solid reviews and the cost per watts was unbeatable. I was excited to recieve this fancy PSU, in fact it looks bad ass, the cables are built solid with insulation. Includes 6 VGA cables, great for mining and a IRRC 6 molex, 6 or 9 sata, 2 cpu.

Long story short I finished loading linux and had to leave so I shut down my computer and returned an hour later and it would not boot so I pulled the power cable from the back of the PSU thinking I would let the residual power drain before trying to restart, upon pluging it into the back of the PSU there was small electrical spark, almost like static and I saw this from my peripheral vision so i''m not sure if it happened where I plugged it in or inside the enclosure however it rendered the PSU dead. I got it tested and a computer shop and they concurred.

This PSU is currently backordered so if I wanted another I would have to wait a month for Amazon to restock. I called EVGA and they approved an Advance RMA, meaning I gave them my CC number for collateral and they are going to ship out my replacement unit immediately so I'm out a PSU for 3 days until it comes. As for as EVGA customer support, they were extremely friendly, accomodating and helpful. They informed me they are new to the PSU market and apologize for this issue and want to make this right, they sounded sincere and hopefully this is an isolated incident. I will try to update in a few months hopefully with positive reviews otherwise i'm returning and going with a corsair.
------
Update 2/24/2016

Psu has been running day and night since I received the replacement. I had 180 days up time at one point without a reboot. I also dropped the PSU on cement from about 18 inches. There has been no issues. Definitely worth every penny.

5.0 out of 5 stars I've never seen such 1st class care and pride of workmanship in a power supply before!

This power supply is amazing! The packaging from EVGA is fantastic!! I've never seen such 1st class care and pride of workmanship in a power supply before!

The power supply itself was sealed in a sturdy custom cube/rectangular fabric bag with a flap over the top that protected the power supply from dust etc. That flap was also secured with velcro. The manufacturer also packaged the most amazing velcro cable ties to wrap up your cabling inside the case. They had this amazing sturdy little lidless box inside the box that held all your modular cables so that they were easy to select -- this was so much better than just stuffing them in a bag. This whole user experience was just so well thought out! So much consideration, care and pride in this packaging. It was a true joy to open and use!

They had a device/plug that you could attach to the end of a mother board cable so that you could test the PSU before you went and did all the cabling. I'd never seen such a thing before this PSU. This little device helped me eliminate the new PSU as a source of the computer issues. And questions I had were easily answered with a google video search.

To me, when I tested the PSU alone, it seemed so quiet I had to put my hand to the fan vent to feel that it was indeed working. That was NICE! (admittedly, I hadn't turned off the other PC right next to my work station where I was testing this so I can't say with 100% certainty but I thought that was pretty impressive.)

Everything about this purchase was top notch! I would definitely buy an EVGA power supply the next time I need such a device. I've never felt so pampered by a purchase of a PSU. This PSU is top of the line in my book!
