1.0 out of 5 starsAmazon sucks for the first time

I'm a longtime Amazon customer, place dozens of orders a year, and have always found the site easy to use and the products valuable. After hundreds of orders, this is my first negative review. I placed an order for Bookworm thinking I could download the program. The order page says "online game code" which to me meant that I might have to play the game online. The page also said "DRM:Origin" but there was no explanation of what this meant. What it means is that you have to download a huge program named Origin operated by EA and create an account with them, although there were no instructions on how to do this. I followed the instructions carefully on "how to redeem" this purchase. I thought I paid for it and didn't realize I had to free it from slavery as well. When I finished downloading Origin, after also downloading Amazon Assistant, which it doesn't appear I even needed, Origin asked me for my EA username and password. I tried signing in with my Amazon username and password, and it didn't accept that, but there were no instructions on how to create an EA account. After fumbling with this thing for half an hour, I tried to request a refund but can't even do that. There's no provision in my Amazon account for returning this product and getting a refund. So I've blown $4.99 - no big deal after years of good service from Amazon - but I'll stay away from any digital purchases in the future.
