This is a great John Wayne movie and being a WWII era buff, the P-40 shots are great!! John Wayne is an American icon I love to see in a movie!

It's great to be able to get DVDs of these old classics. In one of my other John Wayne reviews I mentioned I watched a lot of his movies in theaters in my younger days. These are two more of them. The technology leaves a little to be desired but there were few computers in those days and none capable of enhancing movies. So, some scenes look a little funky like the same Japanese airplane getting flamed twice. But, if you're like me and just enjoy movies for content without a critical eye, these are a couple movies worth watching.

Flying Tigers was an early war film for John Wayne and it shows with the anti-japanese flavor to the film. But still a nice movie. But this product was more valuable in the bundling of Flying Tigers with his brilliant movie, Sands of Iwo Jima making this purchase a real blessing for John Wayne Fans such as myself. Well worth the buy and from the seller I got it from I was pleased with his accuracy in description of the quality of the used product and timeliness of the delivery.

Now out-of-print Duke double-feature that, thankfully, have been recently rereleased individually. Two of John Wayne's best war films. A good transfer for this label, but I think I would go for the individual rereleases for any kind of restoration on the original.
