Could be great but doesn't quite get there. I bought this camera because of it's ability to shoot 20fps while auto focusing and guess what it does that very well. I also bought the Nikon Ft1 adapter so I could use my high quality Nikon lenses on this camera which also works pretty well. So far so good, high speed focusing and shutter with quality glass ! The problem arises in being sure one is focused. The screen is just too small to be sure you are getting focus and when using the adapter it gets trickier. Also the hdmi output is not clean and the hdmi output is cropped so that you can not use an external monitor to help you focus......ughhh would be great with a large monitor and/or focusing aids focusing aids not to mention would be great to record video through clean hdmi

I love this camera, but after having it for a few weeks, I realize that I need the smaller mm lens (that was mistakenly sold) to take normal pictures. Even for a regular picture, I have to step back quite a ways because 30mm is zoomed in too much for standing normally next to/in front of a subject. Disappointing as I do not have the few hundred dollars to buy it.

As far as the camera itself goes the Nikon is indeed full of features, but feel areas such as price let it down compared to its competitors in the mirrorless camera market.

Good stills and videos
Fast hybrid autofocus, responsive
Compact, lightweight

No mode dial, poor interface
No built-in Wi-Fi
Too many tradeoffs versus competition

Would recommend taking a look at this Sony as a comparison on price and performance:
