It won’t go to my 300gb dn. Service I have. On a laptop win 10 but same laptop w built in 1000/lan it goes to 300

My old PC has an Ethernet port on the motherboard, but for some reason it keeps dropping network connections, so I got this. Works just fine, getting full speed over a USB 3.0 port. No drivers needed either, it was completely plug-and-play with Windows 10.

The unit worked fine for a year, no complaints at that point. It failed yesterday, though, looking like a problem on the USB side. I ordered a second unit as a replacement, it arrived today and worked as expected. We'll see how robust it is.

I have a new laptop that did not come with a network port. Strictly uses WIFI to connect to the internet. The wifi speeds are OK, but I wanted something faster for uploading large files and videos.

With a USB 3 connection and fast network connection, it works so much better.

I also have an older Windows tablet that only has USB ports. This gives it a faster download speed for windows uldates.

I have a laptop that doesn't have an RJ45 connection so I use this. I plug it into the USB port and it adapts it to a typical RJ45 Lan connection for my wired network. I have some large file sizes and use my laptop quite a bit, I don't always get a great wifi signal so I plug in and this adapter has been terrific.
