Not Clamp Based, Tension based - Ronin Users this won't be interchangeable without risk

So I wanted a second base plate to match the included one on the Ronin camera gimbal. The Ronin has a CLAMP locking mechanism, where the plate lies FLAT against the plate.

The plate this has TWO SCREWS protruding from the bottom, so that the plate can latch on to them to prevent sliding off, as it's tension based, with no clamp. So the two screws in the included plate will NOT FIT onto other arc swiss plates, such as on the ronin. You could remove the screws, but then there is nothing to prevent that plate from sliding off this base plate when mounted, relying solely on the screw holding until it gets stripped or looses tension. So be careful that this will match your other arc swiss plates at the very least.

I had to fumble slightly to understand how this ARCA adapter fits on the 200-PL14 plate with this tripod head. The Fotasy clamp fits on top of the plate in any of the four positions, so the tightening knob can be on whatever side the user wants it to be in the final assembly.
I installed a camera with a 600mm lens on it, and it feels sturdy.

Sturdy , well made, easy to operate. What more could you want. The jaws require one full turn to open or close.

Good for the price, but has issues

For the price, you won't really get any better than this. But I did notice a few issues with this particular mount. The mechanism is honestly a bit finicky and it takes a little getting used to. Because it only has one screw attachment on the bottom, the plate might shift over time. I wish it had a way to attach two screw to the base plate so it can be more secure on your tripod. I use this with my smallrig arca swiss cages and it works fine for what it does. But you do need to be extra careful that the arca swiss is going into the clamp before you secure it. Otherwise, you'll be like me, who thought it was secure and almost dropped the entire rig. In terms of stability, it does the job, but don't trust it to hold 30 lbs of equipment, it just won't do it.

I bought this to replace the proprietary mount on my Vanguard ball head. It was easy enough to swap out and it works like any other Arca Swiss mount. The only thing thats driving me nuts it the D ring screw on the plate that mounts into the camera. On my other plates, the D ring lays down and stays in place. This one is loose, so when you go to set the plate in the clamp, the D ring gets in the way. Minor but annoying when you're in a hurry. I will be ordering another plate to replace this one.
