I had a great customer service experience with Amazon who issued me a refund for this product. But I have to say that I’m still disappointed in the quality, feeling compelled to caution other shoppers. I used this bag twice: Once on a trip back home to Seattle for a week and another time traveling overnight to San Diego. Both times, I packed my toothbrush, toothpaste, a bar of soap, lotion, a stick of deodorant, and floss. It wasn’t packed tight and there was plenty of room to spare.
However, after the second trip where I ended up in San Diego, I had a giant tear in the inner mesh pocket. Upon investigating, I couldn’t quite pinpoint what exactly could have caused the flaw. I could only come up with either the tube of toothpaste or the toothbrush maybe cutting itself through. But even still, shouldn’t a toiletry bag be designed to withstand the very things it was made to pack? Especially when it isn’t packed tight?
While I’m grateful that Amazon refunded my purchase, I now know to avoid mesh pouches. Vinyl pouches are the way to go as I’ve never had an issue with those. Mesh is just too fragile and unreliable.
