and sturdy - good construction
April 24, 2016
Just got the microfiber duster, and with first impression. It looks to be well built, and sturdy - good construction. Easy to assemble. I've taken lots o pictures showing the different options on how to use it. I also cleaned my living room ceiling fan - Yikes - almost didn't want to show how nasty it was. This duster picked up everything, without spreading it all over the place - sorry, fair warning - it's a dirty visual - ha ha. I had used it around the house prior to cleaning the ceiling fan. right afterwards, I rinsed it off under the sink, and all the Crud came right off. I took it outside and spun it between my palms of my hands, and most of the water came off. I then, blew it dry with my doggie blower - it took a minute or so, and completely clean, and dry. I decided to use the doggie blower to completely dry it off. Not sure if the center rod that holds the fibers is rust proof, so wasn't taking any chances. I know, I was being over cautious, and maybe a bit worried. The manufacturer could send some instructions. The product came in a plastic bag, no instructions at all - that's the worst thing that I can say about it.
I've ordered a spray to use with the duster, that attract more dust - that hasn't arrived. I will update the review of the spray with the duster later on.
The duster has a three stage telescoping rod. The end of the duster, has a button that you can press to change the angle that you want to use. it has almost unlimited different positions to set the duster for various types of cleaning. You can also remove the duster end, using it as a hand held duster. It has a button right on the rod, press it and the duster comes right off. Very well built. This thing doesn't look cheap or crappy - very well built.
It pics up lots - o - crud.
It feels like a very, soft shaggy rug.. not sure what else to compare it to. It is microfibre material, and very fluffy, very thick. The material is woven into a spiral type metal, and if needed you can bend that as well. I've not done that and don't think i will. I used it in-between the tubes of my dinning chandelier and it went in and out of the tightest spaces, with ease. This will help keep the dust down in my house. I'm a happy camper.
I was able to quickly dust everything, even the hardest to reach places, before I started with the ceiling fan.
You can store it in long straight position, extended, or retracted, or folded back onto itself. It comes with a pole rod end loop for having on hooks. Easy to use, easy to clean, dry and put away.
I would recommend it, as mentioned earlier, once my duster spray arrives, I will test it, and re-update the review. Hope that this helps. Hope you like the pics. Way too many reviews without any pics - I love seeing the peoples pics, and hope that mine help you with your decisions.
the picture with it folded and hung on the wall, is what it looks like after rinsing with plain water, and blow drying.. It completely cleaned right up.
