Great product, bad marketing.

Worked very well in our two week trip to Italy. Held 12 credit cards, our two passports and paper money. For the most part I stuffed it into my front pocket and wore shirts that were not tucked in so the band on the belt was not visible and the top of the wallet was covered. Very comfortable and easy to retrieve that way.

I docked this one star for a couple of reasons. I would like to have a thin steel cable in the hanger strap to prevent cutting by thieves.

Second, I received about 4 emails essentially demanding reviews starting about 4 days after I received it. These guys should know that this item will be used on trips and we need time to review. I would suggest that they start sending requests no earlier than one month after sending. That way they don't fill up my mailbox with stuff I have to do while on vacation.

If I get another email about this item asking for a review, I will dock another star.

This wallet has a serious flaw.

Unfortunately this otherwise good product has a serious flaw which would be easy for the manufacturer to fix. When hanging downwards from your belt, the long-side vertical zipper is closed in the up position. Yesterday I walked for about 10 miles and, similar to how the motion of walking can untie shoelaces, I discovered that the motion of my leg against the wallet had worked the vertical zipper all the way down to the completely open position. My wallet was completely unzipped simply from natural walking motions. Fortunately none of my bills or cards spilled out but they easily could have. The manufacturer could easily resolve this defect by simply reversing the direction of the zipper so that the locked position is at the bottom, and to open the wallet the user would zip upwards. I hope they will make this alteration.

Loved it! The hotel safe in my room was broken on a recent trip so I was able to keep my passport with me at all times. I forgot that I was wearing it on my side with the belt loop option after a while. I would keep a small amount of cash in my pocket and then go to the bathroom and pull out more money as needed (I did not like pulling it out in front of people although I could have done so).

I did replace the plastic rings for the neck strap with some metal ones of the same size used for keys from the locksmith shop after reading one review that said they broke. See the included photo that shows a metal ring. Sliding a key part way on the ring helps keep it open so you can thread it through the loop, then just remove the key after you have it all the way on the loop.

Security and convenience always seem to come with trade-offs. This wallet is great, but no exception to this rule. First, the good stuff. The wallet is lightweight and very flexible, so it's easy to handle. The zippers are excellent quality and don't unzip or move at all except when pulled intentionally. The side-zipper pocket is large enough for a passport and additional travel documents. It also has two webbed compartments to help keep smaller items organized. The lower front zipper pocket (further from the loop at top) is large enough for a half-dozen credit cards, cash, etc. The upper front zipper pocket runs behind the lower pocket, so it's as deep as the wallet is long the pictures. That's convenient if you need a longer space to tuck something, but if you drop a credit card or coins in there, the small opening of the zipper makes it a little challenge to fish stuff from the bottom of the pocket. You'll find that being careful with which pocket you choose for which items is all it takes.

Negatives... can't really think of any specific to the construction or design of the product. I think wallets of this type do have one inherent problem: with a stiff passport in it, and tucked into your pants, it can make sitting a little uncomfortable. Walking around, no problem--you'll hardly notice it. But when you sit down and the stiff passport is fighting the bend in your groin, you make need to make a polite adjustment, and even then, total comfort may not be forthcoming. Still, it's better than spending your vacation at the consulate trying to get new documents.

I did not like reaching inside my pants to retrieve my money, credit cards etc. Rather than utilize the belt loop, I attached a lanyard (not included with product) and wore it around my neck under my outer shirt. Fist time using the product, the stitching on the veclcro strap came loose. This prompted a much closer look at the stitching on the rest of the unit. The entire pouch is assembled with a single line of stitching (using what appears to be inferior quality thread), as opposed to double stitching commonly found on products that are constructed and intended to last.
Given the intended purpose of this pouch is to carry one of the most important forms of personal identification, I find this single stitching with cheap thread to be alarming and totally unacceptable.
Thus pouch was purchased to protect and keep a passport on my person, not to fall apart and result in a lost passport.
Unfortunately, this issue was discovered the day before traveling, so there was no time to get a replacement. Instead, I sewed another 2 lines of stitching using heavy duty, high quality thread, across the vecro flap and at the major stress points of this pouch - where the top strap and two side straps attach to the pouch.
The pouch has since survived well under 2 weeks of hard use.
If the manufacturer would produce this pouch with double stiching, using a high quality thread, and ensure the thread is secured in a manner thathat it will remain secured, I would happily rate it 5 stars.

This money belt worked very well during my two weeks in Italy. I found it a lot easier to take out and put back than the "belt" type money belts that go around your waste and down the front of your pants.

I like it's design better than the Eagle Creek belts I've used. Separate compartment for passports and backup credit cards, etc., that are seldom accessed is very helpful and roomy. I like the other two compartments for paper money and credit/ATM cards that are used frequently.

I would recommend this travel belt over the Eagle Creek products that I've used in the past. I've used both the belt time and this "belt loop" type, but the Eagle Creek version of the belt clip model is smaller that this one and has far fewer features.

Easy to Use, Made Us Feel Safe Anywhere

I recently used this wallet on a 2-week trip through China. I've used multiple travel wallets before, and I've also been pickpocketed and lost cash and cards before, so I was hoping this wallet would make me feel safe and also be easy to use. I was satisfied on all accounts-- this is a great wallet. I was worried it would be too thick when tucked into my jeans, but this was not an issue-- I wore it all day every day we traveled and used it with jeans and shorts. I did not use it to carry my passport, however-- that may have made it too thick.

The wallet was easy to tuck in/pull out. I'd keep a day's worth of cash in my jeans pocket for easy access at stores and markets, and I kept credit cards, drivers license, and insurance cards inside the wallet. I also kept a large stock of cash in the main pocket of the wallet, in case we came across something good and needed more cash. When I needed to use a credit card (usually at a hotel, restaurant, or large store), I felt safe taking out the wallet, paying, and the tucking it back into my jeans.

It was fantastic feeling safe anywhere we went (even in some dodgy public markets). I can't imagine any way someone would be able to steal this wallet while you had it tucked in.

I just had a chance to try this out on my recent trip to India and I have to say I was very impressed with its design.

How well does it work? Pretty darn well.

As per the instructions this can be worn in the front of the thigh or the side. I wore it in the front and I had no issues. To access it, it looks a bit awkward at first but once you got the mechanics down, it becomes second nature. The material appears to be sturdy and I see no sign of wear or damage after my 10 day trip with daily use.

The size is adequate. It can fit a passport perfectly as well as a few other items, such as insurance papers etc and of course, money. There are 3 main compartments, all of which close with a zipper.

I was even able to fit my Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo phone. If you have an overly thick case, you can probably still fit it in the large compartment but I was able to use the top zipper compartment.

How well is it concealed? If you wear your shirt outside your pants ,nobody will see it at all. Somebody has to be looking for it otherwise (the seeming extra ring on the belt).

If you are looking for a travel wallet, do not hesitate. This wallet works well and it did not hinder my mobility. It does require that you wear pants with a belt on them.

Well made, nice zippers. Does what it is **supposed** to do: be awkward to use. Awkward for you, impossible for pickpockets. It's a trade off. Not as gigantic as I thought it would be from the wide angle product photo. But it could easily be larger than some people would prefer. I would buy again, and would recommend this.

The belt loop is sturdy webbing. But it is held on with a single row of stitching and only 1/8" of seam allowance, so any fraying in the stitching or webbing could cause the belt loop to fail. It should be double stitched at least and have more than 1/8" of webbing past the stitching. I plan on adding some extra stitching to this so it doesn't fail during a trip.

Pro-Tip: Remember to take this out of the inside of your pants when you go through airport security. You will get an extra fun screening when it shows up on the millimeter wave scanner if you forget.

I don't know how the one reviewer managed to wear this around their arm and break it. That isn't how you use it at all.
