The cards are funny (though I like my dirty humor a bit more subtle and this is a little in your face - though, yes, funny). I just wanted to get that out of the way, because the true gem for me is the actual game play - it is really fun and so addictive. I believe there is a clean version and that would be great for family get togethers - this version was really fun to play with a group of friends. The box says you learn it in like 5 minutes or something - I don't know if we are slow learners, but it took a couple hands before we really had the swing of things and we still picked up a bit more after re-reading the instructions. It gets more fun the more play and learn different strategies.

We weren't expecting fireworks or anything but the game was pretty meh. After you've seen each of the cards, there isn't a surprise factor any more and the cards aren't all that funny to begin with so then you're just cycling through cards waiting for something to happen. It's the kind of humor that a teenager might get a giggle from. Gameplay, for us, given that we were bored with the cards, seemed to drag on forever. We couldn't make our kittens explode quickly enough to move on to a gripping game of thumb twiddling. I gave it two stars instead of 1 because... I'm not sure. I guess I wasn't offended enough at the attempt of a game to 'hate' it. Given the rest of the overwhelmingly good reviews, maybe we just got a bum deck? Or something.

Exploding Kittens is quite easily one of the most hilarious games I have played.

I purchased Exploding Kittens a while ago with the NSFW edition as a gift for my wife. We are huge gamers! (board games) .. I host a game night among friends twice a month at my house. My friends and I are constantly buying and playing new games to play and Exploding Kittens NSFW are quite entertaining.

I give this game high accolades for innovation and uniqueness. The images are hilarious and amusing. The game play is unique and stand out from many other games. I love the strategy and "luck of the draw" concept.

The directions require ALOT of reading and take a few minutes and mistakes to get used to. For such a small deck, the game requires a lot of rules.

Because of product quality and game play limitations, I have to give this game a 3 star rating.
The quality of the playing cards are quite cheap and are not durable at all. It's actually very disappointing because of the games initial hype and popularity.

Even though the images are excellent and game play is hilarious, I find that the game becomes ULTRA repetitive. The same limited recycled images come up over and over on a limited deck.

It certainly helps to combine this deck with other Exploding Kittens decks. It improves the game tremendously.

It would be a huge improvement for Exploding Kittens to expand the deck a bit more and to also start using higher quality cards. (Especially with so many directions)

For a game whose only "allure" are cards themselves, one would think the quality of the product would be in the actual (cards).

This is one more reasons you should check the one star reviews of highly rated items on Amazon. This game is overpriced ($20 for really flimsy cards?) It reminds me so much of a not as interesting and simple version of Flux (or more specifically martian flux). There is way to much luck involved and i was bored with it from the very first game I played. The NSFW cards can be mildly amusing in a very sophmoric way. Either there are a bunch of fake reviews (which I don't doubt if this was the most funded project in Kickstarter history) or these people must not have played flux.

Fun game. Definitely adult oriented. I think if you have people how are quick thinking, this is a cool game. People that like to "think" about their next move will for sure puncture the excitement of the game. Your church group will not appreciate the cards, but the college scene and slightly above will enjoy a few rounds of this.

I will say that it has moderate replay value. But take care of the cards as they do seem a little flimsy.

I would buy this again for sure- especially at a $9.99 price point.

Okay so we have heard a few things about this game and low and behold we stumbled across it on one of our discount websites so decided it was time to pull the trigger to check out what this game was all about. There are a few rules and it feels confusing at first but after going around two or three times you quickly get the hang of it. As the card pile dwindles away you start to understand the hype and when you pull that exploding kitten card and put it out with your defuse card you realize how much fun this simple game truly is. Half the fun is just looking at the comedic drawings that represent each card. The owl one is one of my favorites as is the whale teatherball!!!! Not going to spoil them but those are my two favorite cards and this has quickly become our go-to game when we have a few friends over for drinks. It's simple, it's quick and it's damn entertaining! Go ahead and try to say differently, I'll just awaken the NarNOPE!

This game is absolutely hilarious. If you want non-stop funbuy this game. We played it for hours and laughed the entire time there was some fun bantering as well. You see the game requires you to, make temporary alliances, screw everyone, or be sneaky, or a little of the above! The cards are hilarious. The picture are completely inappropriatly awesome.

This game is great, it's very simple to understand and tons of fun. It's usually one of the top picks when company comes over. But in addition to that the customer service was exceptional! I initially received 2 of the non-NSFW edition for Christmas, but took too long to return one of them (5 months or so). I tried to see if there was still some sort of exchange I could do since I still wanted the NSFW edition. Unfortunately I wasn't able to, but the representative who helped me, Osas, recommended I re-gift the extra and informed me that if I purchased the NSFW version that I would be reimbursed for half of the purchase price, just out of sheer kindness and great customer service. I guarantee that if you purchase this game you won't be disappointed, even if you need to deal with their customer service :)

Whether you have the "normal" (??) version or this not-safe-for-work edition, you will love this game. If you're a fan the "card game for horrible people" genre, you'll laugh your butt of playing this one. It's a bit interesting learning how to play, but once you do, you start plotting your revenge on your fellow players. I can't wait to purchase another game by the same vendor (when it becomes available again). STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU FOLLOW THE PARENTAL GUIDELINES--this is not for kids under 15--maybe even 18. Please note that is just for this edition, the non-NSFW edition is safe for kids. Will keep recommending to anyone who will listen.

Fun new game that's easy to learn and very portable! I would say it is a mix of strategy (~50%) and luck (~50%). Can play heads-up with as few as two people, or with up to five people. Can also purchase a second deck and play with 6-10 people. Have played with other couples before and "alliances" certainly form - in our game, each couple was secretly not screwing over their own significant other (e.g. stealing their cards, putting the exploding kitten where it would hurt them, etc), but this later turned into a guys vs. girls game because the girls were winning so often! Lots of psychology and game theory-type thinking keeps your mind actively thinking throughout.
