The box is a little big or rather long. It leaves very little space going up to a 3.5 in drive cage. Had to run some cables through the drive cage. Other than that it works great.

Junk cables. Fire hazard!

Come on evga. It's 2022 and you are STILL shipping a Gold rated psu with gpu pigtails. It's disgusting looking. There are 4 included 8 pins for gpus all with pig tails hanging off.. thats 8 gpu Connectors. Well a single 8 pin is rated for 150 watts. Well 150x8 is 1200 watts!!!! So you are setting ppl up for failure if they were to be dumb enough to run multiple sli cards off of this or mine. This makes the cable management in the system horrendous looking. Even with the 150w x4 u are asking 600 watts for gpus leaving 200+ for the remaining system. My 12th gen cpu alone pulls over 200w. Do you guys even think? STOP USING PIG TAILS BEFORE SOMEONES HOUSE CATCHES FIRE!!

Two power supplies were DOA.

I received the Power supply from Amazon very quicklly. It was DOA and power wouldn't come on the power supply. I set up a return and a second power supply was delivered very quckly also. It was also DOA. I called EVGA and they suggested I do the paper clip test to check whether it would turn on. It failed. I returned the second power supply and my money was returned promptly. I purchased another brand of Power supply and it worked.

Here we go, I bought this a couple of months ago wanting to build a new PC, super excited when I got it let it sit in my closet for a couple of days until I got the rest of my parts. Took all of my old PC parts out and replaced them, mobo, cpu etc, plugged everything up.... and nothing. So not thinking that it would ever be the PSU I took out the motherboard and looked at it did this about 3 times and still the same response. Plugged in my old MOBO and still no response. Plugged in my old PSU and BAM my OLD PSU worked. Everything worked fine. SO plugged this one in to my old mobo again to see and it literally fried my old MOBO. The packaging was great honestly probably had nothing to do with the seller. However EV3A has had too many issues with this and it's honestly unacceptable for a product that they sell. A new PSU should not be defective out of their factory. They should be able to catch that. So this is not a bad review on the seller just a bad review on the topic.

I was upgrading from my corsair 550w psu to this psu and after installing the new psu you all i got was clicks from the psu and the pc didnt turn on i gave up and put back my old psu and the pc booted up just fine but my ssd was undetectable i connected a blank ssd to see if something was wrong with the drive and not the motherboard sata port and the blank ssd was detected and thenpc tried to boot into it so now i have a faulty ssd from this purchase so thanks alot guys.

I've built dozens of PC over the last two decades and never had a power supply do this. It might not sound like a big deal, but it is actually so annoying that you can't really use the PC. How in the heck do you return this thing under warranty? Just to get back in business, I turned 'off' the eco switch (which stopped the fan -- and the squeaking). It doesn't generate a lot of heat, so I'll watch the core temps and see if I need a new power supply or not, but definitely won't buy from these guys again.

EVGA runs a scam were they offer "free software" but to collect the code to use it they make it a process filled with hurdles.
I suspect that is done on purpose, but I really don't care.
Too many other companies offering equipment just as good .. and at just as good or actually even better prices ... than to ever deal with a company so obviously bent on making their "special offers" so difficult to obtain that you end up passing on it.

As far as the power supply itself ... meh, I've just as good for less $.
And they don't try to scam you with offers that they make purposefully difficult to obtain.

Terrible power supply. This is the worst company I have ever purchased from. They do not follow standards for power cables, not even their own. I purchased multiple power supplies form EVGA. Since these are modular, the cables are separate from the power supply. If you try to use a SATA, VGA, or periferal power cable from a G2 power supply, in this power supply by the same manufacturer, it will output 12V on ground! There is no labeling go specify which cables are for which. This could all be avoided by following standards, but instead EVGA seeks to destroy their customers hardware.

Ordered the evga 850gq to give myself some headroom for 2 GPUs in the future the first PSU flashed and wouldn't do anything put my 650 back in and my 1 TB HDD was fried, then got a replacement 850 and this time it powered everything up but my boot drive was not recognized so again put my evga supernova nex650g will more than likely not be buying anything else from evga.

Drives exterminator...

Long story: Right now I don't have the motivation to explain everything under this pain. About ~$570 in lost in seconds. I'm sending my drives to a recovery data company... would be about $300+ cost. As a freelancer 3D designer, I'm going to be about 7 days unable to work. This was my 2nd and last ever EVGA PSU purchase, I don't want a replacement.

I would have loved to know ahead of time when I spent 2800 on my computer, that I wasn’t going to get the cables to put it together. This has ruined my first pc building experience.
