Very attractive, high-quality piece. Functions well at its primary purpose, i.e. keeping coffee grounds out of the coffee.
This would be a five star product except that its a millimeter or three too short, in height. When placed in a 6-cup or 8-cup Chemex, the top of the filter sits BELOW the rim of the coffeepot. It s a snug fit and we cannot remove the filter, save by getting two fingers in at the spout and lifting. Or using a knife. Filled with hot wet grounds, lifting the filter out this way this is not convenient.
The competition, which we have used for two years plus, has a rubber grommet surrounding the top. It is easily grasped and removed, because the grommet actually sits a bit ABOVE the glass rim of the pot. A better design than this one.
