Joking Hazard is absolutely hilarious. It's played like Apples to Apples or Cards Against Humanity, except instead of building phrases, you're building a three-pane comic strip. We were cracking up almost every single round, and it's astounding how well all of the seemingly unassociated panes fit together in sequence. I often play with some more sensitive players, so I wondered exactly how obscene the game really is. I couldn't find that information anywhere online, so hopefully this will help.

About 20-25 cards contain swear words or obscenities that can be censored with a sharpie while still making sense. For some sensitive players, this is a way to keep these cards in the game.

There are about 50-60 cards that are particularly obscene/objectionable/inappropriate/offensive that cannot be censored and still remain playable. If you're looking for a "cleaner" version of the game, just remove these 50-60 particularly obscene cards and you're good to go

There are still around 250 cards remaining after the filtering/censoring, so the game is still completely playable without the obscenities, and is still absolutely hilarious. One of the best games I've bought in a long time, and will probably become my favorite.

I just played his with six people and one of them had to go to the hospital with a hernia because he was laughing so hard. We will morn his passing but look forward to further updated cards. This game is better than CAH.

Plenty of laughs to be had. We played with 4 and it was hilarious. We played different styles and played our own "storyboard/storyline" mode where each person put down their best card and it would be accepted as long as it made sense, if not it would be rejected by the majority and the person would need to draw 2 more cards. Ended up with some hilarious comic style storylines.

I gave this game as a gift and played it for the first time the other day. Quite simply put, it's hilarious and fun to play as a relaxed party game with the right group of friends (the game does advertise itself as offensive).

The game plays similar to cards against humanity, where you'll play your card and have it judged, but unlike cards against humanity I think you won't be bored and you'll get many more plays out of this one.

What makes this game is the visual element from the panels. It really adds to the game play and the jokes are non stop because of it.

I can't even say enough about how hilarious this game is. Get your friends together and play this game. There are alternate rules, drinking game rules, and regular gameplay. With just enough insulting, dirty, and hilarious combinations to keep you on your toes! You'll love it!

If you've been wishing for something fresh to replace Cards Against Humanity, wish no longer and pick up Joking Hazard! This game has a similar premise to CAH, in that the judge plays the set up, the remaining players play the punchline, and the judge chooses their favorite with the winner getting a point. However, playing in an animated comic format adds a lot to the humor and leads to some truly hilarious and surprising results. I would also say that a good 97% of the cards are fantastic, and there are so few instances of "throwaway rounds" where you just can't put something together because a card is too obscure/unfunny. Our group ended up playing the whole box our first time playing, and all commented how much fun we had. We're already hoping for expansion packs!

Also like CAH, this game is for those with a pretty "messed up" sense of humor, and is ABSOLUTELY NOT appropriate for kids, your mom, or your friends that are beyond moral reproach. There is no shortage of middle fingers, death by cancer/AIDS/suicide jokes, sex acts, etc. That said, and note I've already established that I'm one of those "messed up sense of humor" people, I never felt anything was just for shock value and SO offensive as to not be funny. I've removed cards from other card games for just being plain terrible, but all the cards here manage to find that balance in my opinion.

So if this sounds like the type of ridiculousness that you and your friends get up to, place the order already!

Worth every penny if you're looking for twisted "Rated-R" fun.

Four of us played and I came up with a really good punchline and everyone got a good hysterical laugh. I think only problem with this game is there are really good cards that can be used for anything and lots of bad cards too, so one person who only got bad cards ended up not winning any turn although she is quite funny. Maybe little too dependent on luck..? I still loved it. Very good especially when the crowd is not board game geeks because there is no learning curve.

Fun game to play with friends. the only thing we didn't play with were the fill in your own words cards. It's more fun to add to the stolry lines with the cards you have in hand. Lots of laughs with this game!
