It is a fraction of a millimeter smaller than the glass, probably for more reliable adhesion, given that it's installed by hand. Smooth to the touch (it's not touchscreen though, who cares), but not so smooth when reflecting light from my desk LED lamp. But all this doesn't affect its usefullness. It's easy to install, fits the device just fine and is hard to notice in daily use. The screen became a bit glossier, but it looks even better that way.

I love the care that was taken when packaging the product with the silky film protecting the sheilds as well as the inclusion of solution and squeegee. Unfortunately after a day of letting the sheild settle/cure, it turned out a wavy mess. Maybe heat was a factor here where I live.
