My husband bought this as a Christmas gift for me. I LOVE this version of Ticket to Ride! We have Germany and our friends have America, Scandinavia, Asia, and Europe and this is by far our favorite. We love the added element of the boats. Not only that, but it's rare that you find a board game that will give you TWO different boards. It's basically two games in one with the Great Lakes side and the World Map side.

Highly recommend for any Ticket to Ride fans! :)

My family has played many Ticket to Ride games over the last 7 or 8 years.

This has become our go to game since we purchased it.

I like having two boards to choose from and the ability to switch how many ships and trains you want to use. Games usually last an hour if people are paying attention.

This is a must have for people that like this series of games.

Fun game. Originally played it with a family group and immediately ordered our own edition. I think I may buy the Europe game as our thirteen year old grandson loves playing with us and it's an easy way to learn a little geography and have fun together.

This game is amazing! I love that it has two maps and uses trains and boats. It is very similar to the other ticket to ride games, just a little more complicated. Very fun!!

There seems to be no end to the variations the "Ticket to Ride" franchise can come up with. The map of the world introduces a nice new wrinkle--since the world is round, but flat maps are not, you can go off the map to the east or west and circumnavigate the world to get past a route blocked by an opponent's trains or ships. This already anticipates the other new feature--ships. Earlier versions utilized ferry routes, but employed the trains for these. Now we have both the already familiar trains, but also ships. Anyone familiar with the earlier versions of "Ticket to Ride" will find this new one easy to learn. But it takes awhile to figure out the necessary new stategies needed to win because of the differences in the rules. I'm still trying to do that. The game is enjoyable and entertaining enough to keep you playing, despite the frustrations of always falling short of a win.

We have not tried the Great Lakes version on the other side of the giant game board, which would seem to be a lot more like the earlier versions of the game, since it does not allow for circling the globe.

Takes a little bit longer to play than other versions of "Ticket to Ride" but definitely adds another fun component to strategies for play.
