I have owned MANY different brands of flat irons in my lifetime ranging from inexpensive to expensive. I have natural curly/frizzy hair that I normally wear stick straight. I have come to know which brands I really like. I was on the search for a 1/2 inch since I recently cut my bangs. It’s hard to find a 1/2 inch actually. After carefully reading the reviews, I chose this one. It got the job done. I slid it though one section of my hair on the side to see if it would straighten it. It did pretty good. Is it at great as my normal size RUSK? No, but it’s perfect for bangs and shorter pieces. It gets close to the scalp without leaving that weird indention. In the picture I provided, I curled my hair (because it’s raining out and pointless to straighten it) but did straighten my bangs. I would recommend this definitely for bangs, short hair and touch ups....oh and it does pretty good at curling shorter pieces. The best part is the floating no gap plates. This is very important when choosing a straightener.
