Just received this charger today, so I cannot speak for how reliable it is going to be. But it feels like a solid unit, and has a little heft to it (in a good, quality way.

So I hooked up a bunch of stuff at once to see how well it would perform. Ive have had other multichargers in the past that felt like they were borderline gonna start melting, like extremely hot. This unit only got warm. I actually took a laser thermometer to hit and aimed it at the hottest spot and it never got above 107f. I also used my usb tester to get readings off my devices and how they were charging:

note7 (quickcharge): 8.8v @ 1.61
Anker powercore+ 26.4k battery (qualcomm 2.0): 8.81v @ 1.34a
surface 3: 5.14 @ 2.22a
10k battery: 5.14 @ 1.4a
nexus7: 5.2v 1.13a
Total watt out: 50.47
Temp after 30 minutes peaked @ 106.5 on the hottest point of the charger. I'm sure this charger could have pulled more than 50watts if I had some more demanding devices.

Overall, excellent charger, as long as it doesn't decide to crap out. I'm confident, based on how cool the unit was, should last quite awhile.

Fantastic Charger

Disappointed with the quick charge. Phone does not recognize it as a quick charge device. I'm using the blue ports and have no issues with other Anker quick chargers. While phone plugged in, I actually lost charge while just using Facebook.

Otherwise, the build quality is what you would expect from Anker. High quality, solid feeling. Cables have a nice solid click into the unit with no play. If the quick charging worked, this would easily be a 5 star device.

Update 5/4/2017:

I'm not sure what was going on with the unit before. Since the original review, it has been working beautifully. I'm using all the same cables as before and same device as before. Quick charge is working great. Even with 4 devices plugged in, it doesn't miss a beat.

I would also like to note that Anker's customer service is fantastic. Upon me posting my review, they reach out to me to help resolve my issue that same day. I ended up not needing service in the end, though, since the device works great!

First impressions; good build quality. Ports color coded and markings on side of charger as well. The velcro straps are a great touch, one is affixed to the power cable, and an additional strap is included to keep USB cords tidy as well. Packs small.

It's all in the USB cords! I connected my S7 Edge into the QC3 port and got a 'Fast Charging' notification. However, when I plugged a low end cable into the same port, I got the standard charging notification. So make sure to use quality cables if you want to take advantage of the QC3 feature.

I will update my review further once I have put it through the paces. Can't go 5 stars until then, but so far looks great!

Anker contacted me immediately regarding the defective charger. Apologized, and offered a free replacement. New charger arrived within a few days, and I have been testing it for several days now. As always, another great product from Anker. This charger is great, and performs a great quickcharge. It's a great space saver on my multipart surge protector also. I can now remove the three or four Samsung Adaptive Fast Chargers, and just use this Anker quick charger.

Excellent service and support Anker, indeed; and a great product to boot. Thanks for your concern and quick response. Other companies would do well to emulate your excellent business practices. Bottom line is that you continue to make top of the line products for a decent price, and provide excellent customer service. It doesn't get much better than that.

im not sure why I didn’t buy one of these before, my night stand was so cluttered with a big power strip with 3-5 even bigger usb plugs plugged into it. Now I have this sneaky guy mounted beneath my nightstand will the cord hidden going to another outlet and I have 4 very attractive Anker charger usb cords from type c, to 2 micro usb and 2 lightning cables all ran discretely to where the devices are usually placed at night. Originally this was more of a need to purchase rather than a want but I’ve enjoyed having this so much I want another one for work and a smaller one for whoever else may be on the other side of my bed and one in the living room somewhere would be great. I’m already loaded with Anker cords of various lengths and thats not something I ever thought I’d be so happy about. It’s so satisfiying having everything you need to charge any device so discretely and not to mention FAST!!!!

Ok, so my review may be a bit biased because I have begun to trust Anker so much to the point I am almost exclusively using Anker products for all my cables and chargers, with the exception of the few OEM quick chargers and cables I still have laying around. After using this charger for 2 months, I think I have tested it enough to give a solid review on the charger. I currently have 3 Anker iQ QC3 car chargers, 8 6ft braided cables and just added this 5-Port charger into the mix. I picked this up because I was growing tired of tying up most outlets on a 7-plug powerstrip, that and I had a destination wedding to attend out of the country and didn't want to worry about packing several chargers and a powerstrip. With this single device, I was not only able to keep my devices charged, but also any of my friend's devices when they stopped by my room. While I never ran tests using special tools to measure the output of the 2 iQ QC3, I am very aware of how long it takes to charge my QC3 compatible devices using the OEM charger and both the iQ QC3 charge ports on this device charge my QC3 compatible devices in the same amount of time.

Pros:
- 5 ports, 2 of which are iQ QC3 charge ports
- As far as I can tell, the 2 iQ QC3 charge ports charge at the same rate as my OEM QC3 chargers
- Only uses one plug to charge 5 devices, vs needing a powerstrip
- Lightweight, but durable
- Power cable detaches from charger for easier packing when traveling
- Power cable for charger is long, I believe it is about 6ft in length (haven't measured it)

Cons:
- Can't really think of any...

Get it only when you have QC3 .0 devices

I just bought to upgrade my old Anker charger. Upon delivery, I plugged charging monitor with my iphone 6s to check if it works. The QC3.0 (Blue) port seems not work well as it gives less amperage compare to regular port and previous generation.

I purchase a 5 port a couple of years ago and it failed within a couple of months except for 2 ports which I have to pull the power plug for it to reset and work again. I am hoping that this one will do better as I am getting ready to travel I am hoping it will with stand a 240 out let it says it does, we'll see not hoping for much.
Update: after i wrote this review I was contacted by Anker customer service with a offer to make it right on my purchase of 2014 as in this review. Now one may think they are buying me off they would be wrong as a old computer R&D engineer we know there is at least 10% fallout of hardware that is sold, I got one. This to me goes a long way how Anker views their customer base, the backing of their product and wishes it to grow. With this act of Anker they do have a new customer.

Fast-charging failure

The F.C port I thouht was working as a "None-fast-charging" port, actually didn't work at all...
It's showing as charging, but battery percentage is keep on going down....

I guess I bought it last July, looking at amazon purchase history.
Fasting-charging capability on 1 of 2 F.C port, has lost its ability to fast-charge.
It still charges, but none of my devices acknowledge it as F.C port. Nor it charges fast as it should.
Problem started couple months ago.
But I thought it was problem w/my cables.
Cuz as I played around with different cables, it seemed to take care of the problem.
But now F.C function on 1 of the 2 is completely gone (2nd from the top, to be exact).
Testing with the same cable and same device, top one is working fine.
My device acknowledges the top port as a F.C port.
But the 2nd port charges, but it's not acknowledged as F.C port. And after 20 min, it charged my phone 2% up... I think this is below average speed of even a "None-F.C port".
All my multi-charging device is by Anker and untill now, it hasnt failed me.
But this was my first "Fast-Charging multi-port device" via Anker, which I did buy with confidence.
Yet I'm currently traveling and totally dependent on this device to charge all my devices.
It got me when I was when it was most depended on.
I'd used Anker batteries too. They were pretty good warranty.
Not sure if this one is defect, as I didn't have time to scroll up and down to search for other reviews...

Top FC port died after a week.

See update below if you want the negative. Hopefully if you do purchase, you don't get another lemon with QC issues.

Wasn't blown away, but was originally satisfied with the performance. I like Anker products, and was purchasing from them long before it became a more common name.

Tested the ports with a USB tester I bought specifically for this purpose, since I planned to make this unit my primary charging hub (for phones, tablets, accessories, etc.). Ranges were roughly within what was advertised, though quality USB cables are required to take advantage of full fast charging capability. Several cables I had that were labeled as capable didn't operate as well as I thought.

A week later, the top fast charge port died. Not degraded charging or anything, just totally dead. Tested it with my USB tester and several cables, tested with the same cables in other ports on the device and other chargers, and sure enough, the port was totally dead. Extremely disappointed, because now I've got a big device that's giving me worse performance than my little two-port plug that does FC on both ports.

It's still alright if I want to fast charge one device and slow charge a bunch of others and accessories, but if I wanted that I could've bought something for 1/3 the price that did the same. Wanted really badly to believe that the 1-star reviews about the quality checks on this device were just flukes, but it clearly has QC issues. The fact that some of those reviews date far back and I only purchased this a month ago (as of writing this) show that the issue still hasn't been resolved.

UPDATE: Dropping the review down to 1-star. As I was writing this review, I looked over and saw that charging capability on the second port had dropped even lower than the standard ports. Looks like both fast charge ports will soon be dead, making this thing waste of space. See pics for proof of the dead port and degraded capability of the second port. The latter isn't because my device was trickle charging either; I plugged in a nearly dead FC capable device and got the same results. Severely disappointed.
