We recently purchased from Gramercy Kitchen, an Adjustable Stainless Steel Mandolin Food Slicer. We replaced our plastic mandolin slicer because it flexed during use, did not give us even slices and only came with a hand protector. After using the Mandolin Dial Slicer for several weeks we are impressed with the results. The product performs exactly as advertised. Users must remember however it is not a toy. It has a very sharp blade and should be kept out of the reach of children. Included safety accessories are a blade protector for cleaning and storage, cut resistant safety gloves, and a hand protector. The convenience of changing the blades and adjusting the thickness of the cutting setting with just a twist of a dial is extremely convenient, you don’t have to touch the blade or cutter with your hands. We have cut fruit, vegetables, potatoes and hard cheese and are very pleased with the results since the slices are consistent. Some of our friends have other mandolin slicers, and have nicked or cut their fingers during use. If you use the included safety accessories and follow directions you can avoid such problems. We thoroughly endorse the Adjustable Stainless Steel Mandolin Food Slicer we bought from Gramercy Kitchen and highly recommend it to anyone considering purchasing such a product.
