Thankfully these DO have basic mud/water resistance compared to the EC Shoe Cubes (useless IMHO, basically those are just a dustproof bag).
These are the ONLY way to go IF YOU DON'T OWN EC's older Mud Box bags (sadly now discontinued).
The problem with these, as the EC 'cubes' ---these only hold a smaller sneaker set, flip-flops, dress shoes. Neither are large enough for real hiking boots, snow boots, similar etc :((((

Tis very hard to find 'sealed' bags that don't have open mesh for packing/traveling shoes.... I do however prefer the EC Shoe Sacks over the EC Shoe Cubes. That said ---these work okay.
Sadly these are not very big :(
If opting for these --compare your alternative option with their 'shoe sacks' ----IMHO, the 'sacks' are better for water/mud issues, but also are still quite small (neither are for real hiking boots).
Overall:
1) they DO NOT FIT anything bigger than 'a sneaker-size shoe',
2) these are much better priced for what you get.
3) these also have a better mud/water/wetness barrier than the EC Shoe Cube.

THOSE literally R-O-C-K for hiking/snow/etc boots & everything else!!!
Everything IN ONE BAG and almost completely waterproof!!! Sort of rubbery bottom&sides with sealed mesh top!!!
They were like a real small suitcase for footwear!!! Easy to use, access, and even pack multiple footwear items into!!!!
Protection from mud, ick, water, you name it ---you can rest assured. However, that is all now hindsight :(
Numerous 'shoe items' fit into these.... flip-flops, tennies, boots, etc ---all in one bag!!! Both the LG and MD were fabulous!!!
I do use your EC 'shoe sacks' to separate reg shoes/etc into the same bag with 'real boots' in what I now consider 'a good ole friend called MUD BOX'.
Worth the space if packing/traveling..... and even better for weekend road or camping trips!!!!
Sadly though you've left us with nothing for our 'beefy boots' NOR anything that can hold up to real wetness :(((
PLEASE EC ---BRING BACK your MUD BAGS!!!!
(if they ain't available ANYWHERE online (even used) ---that should tell you just how popular and ABFAB they were! Tain't no one giving up their precious 'mud bags' for any price cuz they were "the best of the best" of your offerings EVER!)
I've 40 yrs of REAL outdoor experience EC. Your mud box bags were the only way to go.... but now you leave me with these? And no, I do not want some bulky ski boot bag in order to get 'what I used to get with your MBox bags'.
