I did not purchase on Amazon but I will from now on! I purchased at Walmart for like 5 or 6 bucks. I've tried EVERY product available for black or biracial women. Shea Moisture..Mixed Chicks..Tresemme..Carols Daughter to name a few. All pretty expensive and none really worked. I did not have high hopes for this because it was SO cheap but I've tried for the past two weeks to use all Cantu products including cowash deep conditioning mask spray moisturizer and this curl activator and I can honestly say I do not recognize my hair! It's like I'm wearing a wig or weave. My curls are so defined and soft and perfect. It's really unreal! I seriously cannot say how much I love this product AND it's SO cheap!!$$ I really don't get it but in this case you DONT get what you pay for..you get SO much more!!

Curl damage alert !!

Good lord save yourself cash, tears and worries and avoid this, you hair would look good at first but this product it’s so drying after a month of using it I noticed my hair wouldn’t curl at all it would frizz and feel dry I wanted to cry i would wash my hair as usual detangle and style with this but my hair would only look semi acceptable while wet then it would dry and frizz as time went by 4 hours later my hair was limp curless and feeling dry as ever. I have two unused bottle on my bathroom self, I would give them away but nope I’m not gonna ruin somebody else’s hair, going straight to the trash
Look this up on the dirty app is rated badly since it’s full of “fragance” which is a cover up for whatever the company doesn’t want to disclose.
Has to buy some deep cleansing shampoo to take of residue and change my routine to be more “moisturizing” to recover from it

Curly Girl Method Friendly! I heard people complaining that this was too thick or heavy for their hair. I use a quarter or two sized amount on soaking wet hair before getting out of shower. Scrunch in the product and use a tshirt to scrunch out the excess. Air dry or diffuse dry. My curls are becoming more and more developed.

One side of my hair is typically more wavy than curly but this stuff makes all my hair match. It also doesn’t leave my hair frizzy, which so many other products have done in the past. Holy crap amazeballs Batman!!! I'm 39 and have been using frizz creams since I was at least 18/19 (thank you fine, but frizzy-wavy hair), and this is the only product to A) Kill the frizz completely as it air dries (It'd always frizz before), B) It does NOT weigh my hair down (used a tad too much the first time, but nailed it on the second), and C) Isn't super expensive!

This product is bomb and will last me for awhile, due to its sizeable bottle, which is another bonus to it. I can actually air-dry my hair and not have to say that I like the all-natural, "hippie" vibe to explain the frizziness. Will definitely re-purchase this!

I am a senior. My hair is getting thinner and sparser daily. It is curly but also frizzy messy. I do not want to cut it short and have that older woman mannish look. Over the years I have bought a gazillion hair products. Each promising to define curls and reduce frizz etc. Expensive products that don't work, but so costly I hate to dump them, but don't want to put gook on my head that just doesn't work. I read another amazon review for a much more expensive product. The reviewer said Cantu worked even better for her. Looked it up immediately and was shocked at the reasonable cost for a curly hair product. Gave it a go and I am so delighted. The frizz actually went away, and the curls were tighter and bouncy. I put a very small dab on my fingers and worked through my damp hair (twice to cover everything). My hair smells good, looks good and it feels clean and light, not gooey and yucky. Don't hesitate to give it a try.

Other than the bottle being a little bent, 5 stars! .....So I’ve decided to do the big chop and grow my natural curls out and have done some research on YouTube. On YouTube CurlyPenny and BiancaReneeToday both expressed how sulfates and silicones are bad for your hair and how there are many brands without them in their products! CANTU is on the top 5 for natural products in the market! They also use this product exactly for styling curly hair after washing! Hope this helps!

Wow, this is super hydrating!! I have low porosity hair that doesn’t retain moisture well, but my hair drank this up!

A little for sure goes a very long way. Left my hair very hydrated, soft and defined! It is very thick so my hair took a long time to dry, but I love how it looks at feels although it is a tiny bit weighed down, but I used a little more than I should because I didn’t realize how hydrating it was. I’ll use less next time.

The scent is nice, but a little strong at first. If you’re sensitive to floral/fruity scents this may bother you. The scent lingers for days but is much more tolerable day 2+.

Overall, love it! Great size for the price too!

*Update: styling holds up extremely well! The next day, my hair still looked so good I didn’t even need to refresh! In fact, I didn’t need to refresh until day 4! I’m truly amazed!

Awesome hair cream. First of all, it smells amazing. It smells like one of those tiger pops and it does linger in your hair which I love. I used this along with Cantu define n shine custard and I am IN LOVE with the results. The curls are soft and defined and frizz is minimal. I used a denman brush to style it. Also, be careful not to be too heavy handed as it will weigh your hair down. Take it from me, I’ve made that mistake. So I used less and these are my results.

This will be a staple in my curly hair product rotation.
