4.0 out of 5 starsDoes exactly what's needed for a great price... Solid performer from a Solid company!

It worked straight out of the box! NVMe support. If you know your way around a computer it's pretty much a plug an play Motherboard.
Couple of things I do want to point out. My board came with 2 bent pins on the CPU Slot with some careful twizzering I was able to bend them back to correction. 2nd Item the Case Connects (HDDLED, power switch etc... Are not labeled... Given this is a Z270 and it's 2017 I expected them to be. I also want to point out something that MSI nor the Manual discuss and that is your Transfer rates on NVmE drives. This was a particular problem for me and took some searching as this is what I believe is a major flaw. This board has 28 Lanes... You get 16x right off the top when your using a 16x PCIe Video card... Leaving you with 12 Lanes remaining. This board does not have a dedicated lane for PCIe NVMe drives ( m.2 Drives). I had to move my M.2 drive from port 1 to port to in order to get 4x transfer rate. If you don't your stuck @ 1x which is a huge bottleneck as most of you are aware. There are no specific settings to tell which port uses which lanes only a spot that distinguishes "generation per lane" forcing Gen3 does not change transfer speed. You have to swap ports. This could be a very bad set back if you where to purchase 2 NVme Drives and Raid them your transfer rates would be cut in half. Because of this I have deduced 1 Star... I read the manual back to front word for word there is nothing in the manual regarding this issue. If you do choose to Raid... This board has BIOS RAID built in driver support... no preloading drivers necessary.

I've built 50+ computers and about every 4th board I come across somehow blocks the SATA cables. There are Horizontal SATA cables and there are vertical SATA cable connections. This board has both in case you have right angle cables.

beware the supplier as well. I received an e-mail after amazon requested that they refund me. The supplier Tunny LLC refuses to refund me because i left them a bad review on the quality of product they are selling... wow lame will never use this seller again and I will make sure people are aware that Tunny LLC is dishonest and sells junk products.

I installed this MOBO a month ago and everything worked fine until it didn't. the board just stopped working after a month of use. there was no overclocking everything was stocked.

i76700k processor
32gig ddr4
1080 ti evga card

and the motherboard just quit. waste of money and I will never buy an MSI board again...

5.0 out of 5 stars great board!

great board, bought this after my other board kicked the bucket, no issues, easy to install everything, drivers are easy to find online. JUST MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD -A versions of the drivers, without the -A you will have issues with certain components

5.0 out of 5 stars Has a built-in RAID feature

Windows 10 doesn't natively support my Toshiba HD drives for a RAID 01 array (some corporate BS I imagine). Fortunately, I was able to set it up in BIOS and now my OS sees it as a single drive. Very satisfied, no issues thus far.

Had it for 2 months now and it's working great. Bios is easy to use. Layout is great and spacious (plenty of room between my ram and CPU evo cooler heatsink). Slots are tough enough for the monster vid cards out there (msi gtx 1070 for me). Well built mobo!

Excellent motherboard. Would definitely recommend to anyone building a mid range gaming PC. This board has a nice fit and finish and made very well. I paired it with an Pentium G4560 7th gen for a gaming build. Two thumbs up for sure.

One of the best mobos I ever worked on! Super easy to assemble my first actual full build. The white light is super sexy! Only issue is the Internet only connects via USB wifi adapter.

Installed and works perfect. Love how easy it is to overclock. No problems here but I will update this if I ever have any.

4 year update: Still working great. I upgraded during year 3 and am keeping this one for a spare.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice board for price. Be sure to use the included driver DVD to get NIC port to get an IP address in Windows 10.
Reviewed in the United States on April 24, 2017
Style: Z270-A PROVerified Purchase
Used this board plus a 7700k to upgrade from a third gen intel core build. Overall its pretty nice. A few nitpicks are: When you switch to raid mode I could not find anywhere in the bios to choose which drive to boot from. Not a terrible thing if you end up like me and just reinstall your os. Raid array built on prior system showed up in the bios and in windows without any trouble. The board while an "ATX" board isn't quite ATX dimensions. There will most likely be 3 screw mounts on your case that this board won't reach. Not a big deal once you realize that it'll be a little short of those screws. Also for the life of me I could not get the onboard NIC to work in windows 10 until I read a review of the board saying that they just used the included driver DVD to get it working. Sure enough after running the provided dvd setup program, NIC and all other components were up and kicking.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy, clean and fully loaded

Not in computer yet but: Out of the box the board is clean and sturdy. I found headers for all my front panel interface ports. The pci 1 slot is armoured to protect the port and card while transpoting. There are fan headers for 6 fans. If this is your first build the instructions will help with setup. There are included SATA data cables for one hard drive and one disc drive. The rest of the cables you will need are supplied by the case, the power supply and the accessories. This mother board looks like I'm gonna as much fun building the computer as playing my games on it. More after build. I would recommend this board for the casual builder (like me) to the pro that needs features and accessory headers he can count on.

First motherboard i ever bought so im not an expert. Works well. Installation was easy except for attaching the cpu fan, which more had to do with my buying a larger one than using the cpu provided one. Could have included a map of all the ports with a bit of an explanation about what fan should plug into where, but aside from that i am very satisfied
