Long overdue review. Gonna keep it short and sweet to help those who were in my position 2 months ago. Got this 2 months ago. Moved from the USA to the UK. Wanted to use it a few times before I reviewed. I read the reviews carefully before purchasing. I wanted something for my flat iron mainly. Works well surprisingly. I have a Remington. I WILL say, the flat iron turns on and off (on its own) when plugged into this. I guess something with the voltage isn’t compatible but works well when on. Gets hot enough to do the job. I plug my US flat iron, laptop charger, lamp, and HOT COMB all into this!!! I got SOMETHING ELSE for my blow dryer because I read the reviews and didn’t wanna chance it. Works well for low voltage items and works well enough for my hair products. Comes with 5 wall plugs for many countries. Light weight. Very satisfied. If my review helped you, thumbs it up below !!

I bought this item from Amazon in the USA for use on vacation in Europe. The item cannot be tested in the USA because of the plug. When I got to Portugal (which is a country in Europe which the Amazon chat person did not understand that PT is in Europe) the step down converter will not work at all. I contacted customer support and they offered to give me an $18.00 credit. When I explained that I will return the item when I return to America, they said that because I took the item out of the USA, that I must assume responsibility for it not working!!! Stated in their fine print somewhere. Also, they will not accept me shipping it back from Portugal. So beware of that clause when purchasing something intended for travel from Amazon.

Spring for the converter over an adapter

This was purchased for a recent trip to Ireland. I was concerned that, although my Apple products are dual voltage and could have used just an adapter, I wanted to be able to charge my external battery, camera, headphones, etc. This was a stellar investment. It worked well, the small hum it created was perfect white noise for sleeping, has 3 traditional plugs and 4 USB outlets. With 3 different style plug adapters, I expect I could use this for almost every trip I will ever take. I will use this for domestic, as well as, international travel from now on.

I am so glad that I spent the extra money on a true converter and did not rely on an adapter.

I bought this in 2020 for my trip to Turkey in December. I had no idea if it would work especially with all the reviews the it fried hair appliances. I have a pretty decent hair straightener so I didn’t want to take any chances so I bought a less expensive hair straightener specifically for my trip. I got the Vanessa hair straightener to take with me from Amazon and it worked. Ladies, you know if you use a hair straightener, you depend on it. I will say that it did make a buzzing noise as I used my straightener but, whatever-it worked. I also charged my iPhone 12, my iwatch series 3, my JBL, my iPad, and my anker portable chargers. I did not use a blower as the hotel had a blower. So, this was my experience and I plan on taking it with me to next Turkey trip.

Only Travel adapter you’ll need

I’m a frequent traveler and have been using an adapter which has only one socket which gets very inconvenient so for my upcoming UK and India trip I was looking for something which has multiple sockets to charge my toothbrush, shaver, Nintendo etc. at the same time. So based on the review and price range I decided to give it a try. I like that the manufactures where able to fit in 3 sockets and 4 USB in a relatively slim profile adapter. For things like most laptops which works 110v-240v, you don’t need converter so that’s where those 4 plugs would what you’d need which should work in most part of world. It also come with a nice thick mesh bag for easier carrying.

Great converter but the fans can get loud

Everything about this is great. I've used a ton of items with it and not a single port has blown.

The only downside is that the fans can produce a high pitched whistle that makes it impossible to sleep, so it's not ideal for a hotel room. Even under low power it seems to wind up randomly and make noise. I feel like it's trying to spend too much time without fans running, and then kicks them on to full blast, instead of just letting them run at a low speed all the time.

My wife was in Israel for 2 weeks, and this worked perfect for her. She found the USB ports to be especially handy for charging her phone and a portable battery, and a couple of other devices (so super convenient using just a charge/sync cable and not dealing with a power brick and if its dual voltage or not). The AC outlets also worked great to allow her to use a couple of devices she had that were not dual voltage. The device was quiet and never got hot.

Worked beautifully. We traveled to Ireland, Scotland, and England. I took along my multiple plugs with additional USB connections. Attached to the Key Power converter and we were able to charge all our phones, fit bits, streamer, and extended life batteries. Would highly recommend to anyone able to stay in a hotel and not have to worry about additional weight. We had two but only used one. We did use one of the adapters from our other one for use with a hair drier and a heating pad that we did not have to convert to the 220/250 v. A must if you want to use your 120/130 from the states.

Be careful: No ground!!!

Oh no! I purchased it a couple of years ago. And then, I finally used it during my recent travel. But, I discovered that there was a fatal shortcoming! It might be potentially dangerous!

I purchased it because plugs have three holes, for hot, neutral, and ground. But, the "ground" is fake! There is no equipment ground. If you use equipment that requires "ground", do not use this converter.

My laptop's AC adapter was connected to this converted. Then, because of lack of "ground", I sensed electricity leak in the metal cover of the laptop, which is dangerous.

Small enough to be portable on a long trip, but plenty of AC and USB charging ports. Came with standard Euro plug, plus plenty of adapters. When you load up the device with multiple items running, the fan comes on and is audible. However, it's not loud enough to be anything other than low-level white noise. Neither my wife nor I were bothered by it. Excellent product that does exactly what you need it to do.
