Complete junk! After not even 2 months, the screw where you adjust the grinder completly broke, making the grinder completly useless..

I updated my rating from 1 to 5 stars, because I must've purchased a defective product, and this seller went above and beyond to replace my product. Probably it was the best customer service I've experienced in a while! I received my new unit and it works perfectly. I'll definitely buy more products from this seller.

Problems with the Pepper Grinder

I shall start with the good. The salt grinder seems to work just fine. It doesn't grind it quite as fast as I would like, but it gets the job done.

The real problem is the pepper grinder. The pepper corns seem to have a real problem getting into the grinding mechanism. If I set it on fine to medium grind, nothing happens. I can turn it all day and I get nothing out of it. Only when opened all the way do pepper corns actually get into the mechanism. Unfortunately this means all I get are gigantic chunks of pepper. I may as well just pour the pepper corns right out of the bag onto my food. Definitely disappointing.

Other than that it is a very stylish modern looking set with a nice holder. The grinders are easy to hold onto when grinding. With one of the grinders not working though. I just can't recommend it.

These are very nice grinders. The stand is a nice bonus specially when setting a table. I also like the cap, it adds a nice finishing touch. I don't know if these are "forever" Salt and Pepper grinders but they seem very well built and should be a good value. The company seems genuinely interested in customer satisfaction and appears to want to do anything reasonable to make things right. I would buy these again.

You can adjust how coarse or fine you want whatever you've put in these bottles to be ground. There is no difference between the two, because they both adjust by twisting the little grinder inside the top. The bottles are made of a nice heavy glass, so they feel substantial. They are quite tall and narrow, so I originally worried I would knock them down all the time, but that hasn't happened even once. (I suspect they move out of my way.)

I only have a couple of things that resulted in the 4-star review.

1. The stand they come with looks nice, but trying to place the bottles back when you're using them, or cooking, is simply ridiculous. It's too lightweight, and slippery on the granite countertops. I'm not picky enough to *need* them in the stand, which is just fine.

2. You have to remove the stainless steel tops from the bottles to use them each time, as the grinder is in the top of the bottles. Not a big deal, but for some reason it feels not quite "right" to me. Again, having to replace those little caps each time is a little awkward.

Consequently, they are left "topless" and "free from restraint" on our counters. My husband is afraid they'll run away in the night, but they really just want a little romance. I'm hoping that they'll decide they're so grateful for the freedom their brothers and sisters don't enjoy that they'll do the dishes while we sleep.

Absolutely love these grinders. Got tired of buying $4/ea grinders of sea salt and pepper at the store and decided to get some proper, re-usable ones and buy bulk packs of salt and pepper on Amazon. I have absolutely no regrets on this decision. Nearly 6 months later, I still have about 1/3 of the bag of pepper I bought and 1/2 the bag of salt I bought and have already broken even against buying the disposables.

These grinders are solid in the hand, sturdy construction. The lids are a bit flimsy, but they aren't really necessary in the first place. The grinders can be adjusted on how fine of a grind you want, from close to dust all the way up to large chunks on each. Adjusting it is as easy as spinning a little dial on the top of the units. Refilling them is very easy with a funnel, just screw the top off, pour in the refill, and screw the top back on, easy. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stop buying disposable salt/pepper shakers or grinders. They are easier to use, re-usable, and will save tons of money over time.

I really like the design and style of these salt and pepper grinders. The tops screw off for a fairly large filler opening and these dont 'leak' like many others, which grind out the bottom. You have to invert these before you grind, which keeps your table clean(er). The rack is more for storage and putting these away, as it is not so convienient to unsnap them from the holder, but it does look quite classy. The holder looks like it might rust, so I don't advise washing it, unless you are going to thoroughly dry it right after. It's not hard to grind your spices, but not as easy as 'crank' type grinders. We will mostly use these when we have guests and use our 'crank' grinders for everyday. Please Note: These do NOT come with spices. I filled them with the Pink Himilayan Salt and Black Peppercorns for the pictures.

I've never had a salt or pepper mill in my home. I read reviews on several of the mills available on Amazon, and I went with these because of overall customer satisfaction and positive reviews. I will say, I've only had this for about 2 months, but so far, I love these mills! The flavor is so enhanced when you have fresh cracked black pepper, and the I've been using Himalayan pink salt, and the flavor there is enhanced as well! Everything I cook benefits from having these mills in my kitchen. I've been thoroughly satisfied with the adjustable coarseness of the mills (I've got the salt set finer than the pepper, as the flavor from Himalayan salt is stronger than table salt). So far, I've had no problems, but if I do, I'll be sure to update my review! Thank you, Willow & Everett!

I am still using these mills, and I haven't had any problems with them at all. Still very satisfied with this purchase.

Great set of Grinders

Initially, I was going to purchase that expensive set that America's Test Kitchen recommends, the one that costs like $50 on Amazon. Boy, I'm glad I got this set instead. This Willow & Everett grinder set is just great. First, it's smart looking on the kitchen counter. A nice chrome finish and stainless steel holder, which the set rests on, keeps the set together and looking neat. Both grinders do the job of grinding sea salt and peppercorns quite nicely and thoroughly. I have adjusted the pepper grinder to grind more finely, and this was easily achieved by adjusting a wheel on the bottom of the jar. Same thing with the Himalayan Salt container. They feel good in the hand, too, so in my opinion, if you went with this set as opposed to that other one that's more than twice the price, I think you'd be happy. Of course, never having used that higher-priced one, I can't really say how this set compares, but I've been using this Willow & Everett set for about a month now, and I like it just fine.

I purchased these S&P grinders because I was looking for a nice, tall glass set. They seem pretty good quality, especially for the price. The glass is thick and it grinds very smoothly. They aren't difficult to turn at all (we have been using them for about a week with full size peppercorn and coarse Himalayan salt) . I personally don't use the stand as I find it annoying to keep removing them (we use a lot of pepper :) ) and it gets a little hung up on the stand depending on which angle you pull them out at. They are perfect for what we were looking for.

I just love these grinders. They are the nicest ones I've owned and I've owned a few. They are well made and just what I wanted. I like that they are large and do not need refilling often. And also love that they are glass and not plastic. The messy counter is gone forever! They are so elegant looking. Even my husband, who never notices anything commented on how nice they look. Very happy with this purchase. I'm tempted to buy a spare set.
Update: I still love the design and style of this grinder set, however I had to remove a star because I picked up the stand to carry it from the stove to the bar and the salt grinder tipped out and fell to the tile floor. It landed on it's top and unbeknownst to me, cracked the plastic. Several days later while grinding salt on my eggs the entire top cracked off and tons of salt landed in the pan. What a mess! That was my fault. However, the new set arrived last week and this set does not adjust. It just spins around. It is grinding ok though. So I won't go through the hassle of returning it. You get what you pay for. I would gladly pay more for something more durable. Still love the style of this set.

I needed new salt and pepper grinders and this set looked like it would be perfect. They are much larger than I thought and they do not arrived filled, so make sure you have the ingredients before they arrive. I would have given it 5 stars if they had included directions on how to adjust the coarseness. Instead, the text on the back of the box stated that you could adjust it by the hidden screw, but never mentioned where it is hiding. I emailed Willow & Everett and discovered that the hidden screw is actually the black "dial" that is visible as soon as you remove the cover.
