Great Hamilton Beach Filter!

I bought this filter for my Hamilton Beach coffee maker. Fits perfectly. I'm very pleased. I’ve always used paper filters, not reusable filters. I like the taste of the coffee from this reusable filter better. Paper filters absorb essential oils from the coffee, subtly altering the flavour Also, the cone basket design is efficient, draining more completely than the traditional style basket I’ve always used. Hopefully I’ll get several years of use - and save lots of money and paper. This filter costs less than 2 boxes (200) paper filters, pays for itself in 6 months. Easy to clean - just dump the grounds and rinse it out. Every few pots I clean it with a little dish soap.

Odd sizing

Although it works it is smaller than my original filter. Note the picture old on left, new (yours) on right. I bought the 8-12 cup model assuming they would be the same. The box says it is 8-12 and my receipt too. Again it works but it is not a perfect fit. That is the reason for the 3 star rating.

This coffee filter is good at doing what it's supposed to do. I really like that it is reusable. When I first put it in my Ninja Brew Station, it didn't fit perfectly, but it was really, really close. I saw that it would easily press down into place, so I did. The heat from brewing one pot of coffee did the trick and the filter now fits perfectly. Very pleased with this purchase.

Not sure why I didn't buy this sooner! I have been buying the #4 filters and lately for some reason kept getting coffee grounds in my coffee. Found this and read reviews figured I would try it out. I have been using for a week and it works great! If you have a ninja (or for mine at least) you need to click it into place to use properly and for the filter part to shut, then you just add your grounds and use like normal. I rinse out every morning and it makes smooth, coffee ground free, coffee! Love it and way cheaper than buying boxes of filters every month!

Just because your coffee maker takes #4 filters does NOT mean this will fiit. It has a strange design that does not go to the bottom of the basket. The handle is super flimsy. Not really well made.

99% of the time every item I ordered is just wonderful. This time I got a lemon. Which isn’t so bad comparatively speaking to all the other orders being so good. I was told exactly what size filter to get in so I bought it. I have a nostalgic red coffee maker that I love and wine came with it but I wanted a back up. This did not fit right. It wasn’t round enough And had a slightly different shape than the one that came with my new coffee maker that I think it’s so awesome. I didn’t wanna take any chances of trying to cram it in there but I did try to make it round area and I cracked one side of it. This time I was disappointed because now I have to try to find when I could trust to fit. If anyone has any ideas regarding this subject please help me out.

I like the idea of washing went out one day and being able to put in the dry one the next day so I really want a back up.

Terrible handle....can't recommend

The filter itself is fine but the handle does not fit well so when you pull it out, your wet, used coffee grinds go everywhere. I ordered a replacement and it was even worse that the first one. I'd return it if it was an option but I only saw an exchange offered. I just bought a cuisinart one which has a proper, strong handle - i paid $8 for two good filters vs $6 for one lame one. This should not be an Amazon's Choice.

Good product good price

Seems to meet all expectations. I noticed that some people had issues with the handle falling off. I checked the handle when I received the filter. It was not fully seated. I wiggled it a couple of times and it snapped in. After several weeks of use it is holding.

Don't Use with Fine Grind Coffee

This is probably a very good product when used with a coarse or medium grind coffee. Unfortunately, we buy all of our coffee at Costco, which only stocks fine grind, which works perfectly well with paper filters. When we tried the new Gold Tone filter with the usual amount of grounds, we experienced a significant overflow and the remaining brew took another 10-12 minutes to finally seep down through the filter. Needless to say, we are back to paper filters!
Seller would do well to add a clear caution to the advertisement to avoid negative customer feedback.
